couldn't find it in the RN nurse practice act but, LVN states that as long as you report off and tell a supervisor that you are leaving it is not abandonment. Call the 800 # where you report them for abuse or neglect. Part of the problem seems to be the staff, they have ran off four nurses. I would make it five. Please tell me your general area.

Most supervisors are not going to risk their licience for you. are you going to risk yours for a cna that an alert pt says abused them? WHAT YOU DID SOUNDS reasonable to me but, I would be concerned about the n/v on previous shift. Possible asperation pnuemonia. Get the docs to write you orders on when to hold feeding ,like check residual q 6 hrs and if greater than 60cc hold for 1 hr and recheck or if bolus check resid before feeding and hold if greater than ? You don't lose skills in long term you develope greater ones .You sound like a great nurse. Good luck

yes most of us suffer with anxiety in clinicals. My blood pressure went up to 150/100 and another classmates had heart rate of 120. After several bp and heart meds that made her feel worse the doctor prescribed paxil for her which helped her cope. I started zoloft and should have been on it years ago, most of my anxiety is gone . But, Ido have to take bp meds still

every one calm down. An abuser can smell the weakness in a person. They hunt just like any other preditor. if you need more proof that she at least contributed to his suicide attempt. the fact that she cleaned out the bank account and ran off should do it. But without proof how could you deny a wife acess to her husband

The one thing not being mentioned is the LVN programs. In Texas most are a year long. 12 solid months. But you usually start clinicals with in the first 6 weeks so you know real fast if this is for you. As an LVN who will graduate ADN in May this was the best choice for me. I have worked all through the ADN program. Plus you should have courses that will transfer to your prereq. Good Luck with what ever you decide.
