  1. I graduated from Muhlenberg school of nursing. It was a great school, challenging but I learned a lot. http://www.muhlenbergschools.org
  2. Dont make me cry.. This is exactly why I became a nurse...This is the beauty of this profession. It touches so many lives in a simple but lasting way. I had a situation similar to this also. The care I received during two of my hospital visits, reconfirmed my aspirations to be a nurse. Wow.. through all the stress we have to through stories like this give it all meaning.
  3. Try Kean University as well as College of New Jersey. However you didnt state this in your message, but the programs usually require you have a bachelors in nursing or a bachelor degree in another field. I have applied for Kean's program.. still waiting for a response. Well good luck.. any other questions just ask.
  4. Its the Fuld Campus.... I believe she told me its a new unit. SNU. 2FS? something like that. Interview is Monday..... Thanks for sharing the information.
  5. Thanks a lot for the input..
  6. Hi everyone. I am a new grad. I have an interview at Capital in Trenton. Just wondering if any of you could share anything you knew about the hospital.. good and bad. Also does anyone know the starting salary for a new grad? Any input would be appreciated .. Thanks.
  7. Semester 1 of 4, at Muhlenberg SON in Jersey.
  8. Just a quick question. Those that have gone through clinical, in your experience have you learned more in day clinical vs. night clinical. I was told by a couple of students that they prefer to do day clinical because at night its much slower and a lot of the patients are sleep. Is the amount of learning different, do you get better experience during the day. Any comments????

  10. Oh I see, your mom is there. Wow,I wish. My mother lives far.
  11. Question who is there at night with your son? I wouldn't mind working nights but who will be home with the kids??
  12. One of the biggest things that was pulling me back from Nursing was the hours and being a single mother. Any other single moms out there with advice or there own stories on how they manage taking care of the kids, and working. How do you do the long hours?? How do you work the nights? Do you have Babysitters, other family, please let us other single mothers know. Most of all how do you balance the hours, work, kids, and yourself without going crazy. Another quick question are hospitals understanding to their employees with children. Give us some of your personal stories. Thanks
  13. Hi, Everybody. I need some advice. PLEASE HELP. Im a 23 year mother of 3 year old twins. I plan on taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 along with Nursing I, starting in Jan.2005. Is this impossible??? Yes, I am a mother of 3 year old twins, but I have the fortune to not have to work, although I WILL BE BROKE. I have a WONDERFUL support system. Many students at my school have been telling me Im going to fail, and I need to just take them separate. At my school A & P 2 must be done before Nursing I or you can take it at the same time. Basically, with my hard work, dedication, not having to work, and excellent support system is this possible. I really want to do this, I hate to rush it but sometimes I feel like you gotta do what you gotta do even though I know I will be VERY VERY VERY VERY STRESSED!!!!

  15. Thanks to everybody for their responses. I just want to clarify and actually agree with a previous post. NO being a nurse for me is not about the money. Going into the profession, I knew the money was not the BEST. But Its nice to know your compensation for the hard workthat is done even though its hard work you WANT to do.
