Hi all. My boyfriend is having surgery today. We found a lump in his thigh last Tues. He has been very sick (temp. of 102+ every night, vomiting, weakness, fatigue, weight loss 30+lbs) since October. No one has been able to diagnose anything. Before all this he was a very healthy 25 y/o former college football player. I am so scared and don't want it to show because he has been doing so well at staying positive..........
I am sorry to hear that-my best advice I wish to offer to you is WAIT for the complete diagnosis and staging and then begin your research...Please don't drive yourself crazy searching and reading until you have the results of the bx in front of you....I'll be thinking of you....Originally posted by EMTI19Thank you everyone. The surgery went smoothly. He has a sarcoma close to his femur with surrounding cysts. Several samples were taken and we are waiting on the pathologists now which will take a while considering the holidays. Plan is to remove the mass soon after New Years. Will keep posting and praying. Hope everyone enjoys their holidays!

Great advice.......
EMT, stay positive (((hug)))
Still no new news. Kind of expected to wait long since pathologists don't work weekends or holidays. The best news would be that it's not a sarcoma and just a benign tumor. The second best would be that nothing has spread. Maybe we will find out Mon.? Still waiting, and running low on percocet.....
