Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
hi i took 19 too but i didnt see my name ...i failed...im from cali
hi there rose! we're in the same state, i took mine apr12 and i always check the board's website but i don't see my name . if they say that we have to wait ave 10 days then we shouldn't be worried if we don't see our name. i just really hope WE PASS eventhough our names not in the BON website yet.
have a story to tell... took my nclexPN mar15 and evryday i checked in the board's website but it always says No results found. did checking every now and then for almost 4 wks until apr11, got a BIG ENVELOPE. I knew it i didn't pass coz my friends told me before that big envelope means u failed. had 2nd thoughts whether open the envelope or just put it in the trash can. still, I opened it and i saw the word PASSED!!! OMG! i couldn't explain how i felt that very moment. i just thanked HIM and thanked HIM for the blessing. until now i don't see my name in the board's website.
So to all of us waiting for the results, just stay calm and relax. GOD will never let us down... just believe in HIM. i always believe that HE KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR US. And if ever i didn't pass my RN, i know HE has Reasons.
I have been doing more reading posts on this website than responding in the past couple months. I have changed my test date 3 times already. From April to May and then back to April. Im kind of getting nervous. A lot of my classmates are saying that they will wait a month or two to take the NCLEX. Im afraid that the longer I put it off, the worse my anxiety will get. If anyone has any advice for me, I welcome it.
And congratulations to all of the April testers!!!!!!!!!!
I look forward to joining you as a nurse after this Saturday 4/26.

Thank you for sharing this story. It gives me a little hope reading things like this. I'm also from california and I took it a day earlier (April 11th) and I still don't see my name. Out of all the new hires at my job I am the only one waiting and everyone else passed (even the one person who took it 4 days after I did) I pray to God each day that I passed but as each day goes by and I see "no results found" I get more and more discouraged. I am praying to God that I fall under the average of 10 days. Is it 10 consecutive days from the date of exam or 10 weekdays? Thanks

trimedu,
I just wanted to say congrats on passing the hardest part, and that is school. What I want to tell you though is that we have had several people come to talk to our class and as it turns out the statistics say that the longer you wait to take nclex after grad. the more you hurt your chances of passing because you forget so many of what you consider the little things that just might show up on the test. So just tell yourself you knew enough to pass nursing school, which the average person can not do and now it is time for you to schedule your tests for the next available date and just do it. Take your time with each question think it through and pass that darn thing. You can do it.
I know it is easier said than done but when I took nclex-pn I guess I just didn't know to be afraid because I wasn't stressed at all and passed without a problem, but now that I am older and realize I could fail nclex-rn I am terrified. Stupid isn't it? Anyway, Good Luck to You!!!!
I feel like I am gonna fail again:cry:, I went over to my notes to look over the topics I encountered this morning, mostly are wrong:crying2:. I did the best thing that I can, I studied very hard consistently everyday. I followed Suzanne's Plan strictly from the 1st tip up to the end:typing so in case I fail :down:I maybe the most stupid on earth who is eating her alive by her own anxiety:banghead:.
I really stayed focus as I was answering the questions:typing, took a lot :thnkg: and breaks:zzzzz, did lot of prayers:plsebeg:, deep breathing every now and then:doh:.
I am so down right now, physically (been awake since 1:26 AM wasn't able to back to sleep) and mentally exhausted:wtosts:..I feel like I am gonna:sfxpld:
The client undergoes PD. The physician orders 2 L to be instilled with a dwell time of 40 mins. The nurse measures the outflow and finds it to be 1800 ml. During the nurse's shift, the client drinks 700ml of fluid and voids 400 ml. What's the total intake of the patient?
(answer is 500 but I can't seem to understand why. This is another confusing question from Kaplan)

Well not sure of this but I'll try:
2L-1800 =200ml
700-400 =300ml
500ml intake:up:
MY MISTAKE! KAPLAN answer is 900. I just made a typo!

(answer in KAPLAN = 900
outflow = 1800, so, 2000 - 1800 = 200, the px had 700ml intake, so 200 + 700 = 900, voided 400 ml, so, 900-400 = 500ml.correct me if im wrong...
