When you work, what is your average appearance? Do you wear a lot of make up? Minimal? Hair styled or cut low key or thrown into a pony tail, etc. Usually I try to style my hair somewhat in a cute up do, some makeup such as a little eyeliner and foundation/lip balm but nothing too much.

I wear foundation and a dusting of powder to set it. I have oily skin, so I need at least the powder. Although, I'm not really complaining about my oily skin-I'm 36 and people at work think I'm about 25/26!

I wear usually a light colored eye shadow and mascara..I admit it, I've been told I have pretty eyes, so I cave in to vanity and like to play them up a bit.

Not really a lipstick girl-I love lip balms and lip gloss with a little color, so I wear that.

My hair is covered by a scrub hat but I love the cute patterned cloth scrub hats...I must have about 30 of them, and am getting more soon.

I do wear earrings, but they are usually small hoops or posts. I will wear necklaces although nothing too big. I usually wear a couple of rings but nothing expensive because I may have to scrub. I don't want to lose them when I take them off.

My scrubs are provided by the hospital. I have my own cloth warm up jackets and I've been wearing Crocs with Jibbitz in them.

I wear my hair in a bun. My makeup includes foundation, loose powder, lipstick, and eyebrow pencil. I know my cosmetic choices might sound excessive, but I receive many compliments from patients, visitors, and coworkers on the manner in which my makeup is applied. Toward the end of a typical 16 hour shift, much of my cosmetics have worn off. I typically wear a small pair of earrings, such as white gold hoops, but nothing ever big and dangly. I always aim to wear my wristwatch while at work.

I'm meticulously clean but no matter what scrubs I wear I look slouchy. I keep my hair up in a clip.

I always wore a bit of foundation, but not too much, do wear lipstick, my hair is usually in a pony.

I wear hair in a ponytail and minimal makeup. I do take a little tube of cheek stain with me for a mid-twelve hour shift touch up though, I think a little color on the face makes a big difference and I don't look quite as tired as I feel.

i use benefit. it's the best. you get it at sephora. its a little pricy, but it awesome. www.sephora.com my daily makeup routine for work takes less than 5 minutes.

my work makeup (all from benefit):

-eye bright pencil.. its a transparent pink pencil and it really perks up tired eyes

-bad gal lash (mascara)

-dr. feelgood... its a primer balm that you put on your skin, it moisturizes and leaves you with a healthy glow

-dallas (powder)... it gives you this really nice rosy tint to your cheeks with just a tiny bit and it lasts all night

-california kissin (lip balm)... its sheer and it gives you minty fresh breath!

I use Bare Escentuals (spelled oddly) from Sephora. It is about $25 for loose powder but it lasts awhile, like a few months and it has SPF in it. I use lip balm from Burt's Bees, cheap and good quality, even comes in subtle tints. As for eyeliner, I use Revlon 16 hour liner. As for mascara, I use Maybelline's Great Lash, as it's the best mascara I have ever used and it's under $5.00 a tube.

For my routine:

Moisturize

Apply light foundation

Apply light eye liner (just on outside corners)

Add a little lip balm with the occasional mascara application

I just switched from night shift to days. On nights I did not wear make-up. On day shift I have started wearing light make-up and small earrings. I have long hair so I usually wear it up in pony tail or clipped back out of the way. I just try to look professional and not "made up" with alot of make-up and heavy perfume.

Specializes in Aged care, disability, community.

I wear my hair usually in a ponytail but sometimes a bun if it's hot or in pigtails, a braid or platted if I feel like doing something different.

No make up

my uniform blouse and usually pants but if I'm wearing a skirt I'll wear a pair of nude support hose (they don't run nearly as easily)

Shoes are one of 3 pairs, either my docs, my crocs or a pair of sneakers.

no earrings, but I do wear my wedding ring which is a plain 9ct gold band.

I only wear a neutral eye shadow, mascara by Maybelline and some chap stick. If I wear foundation or blush my face tends to break out.

My hair is almost always up because it's naturally curly and thick so it requires a lot of product to keep it tame and then my face breaks out from all the junk I have to put in it.

When I worked the evening shift I was a little more pulled together. Now that I work early mornings, and am a little older,I dont make such a fuss.I love the min.makeup.I have to have my eyes on,sometimes I put my eyes on at work, just mascarra. If you want to know the truth{this is so sad}work is just about the only place I go,so I do try to look nice.I honestly wear scrubs so much, that is just about all I have to wear.If I didnt wear any jewlry to work,I would never get to wear it!!!:uhoh3:

When I did days, I only wore concealer.

Now that I do nights, I put on concealer, foundation (great stuff, goes on sheer, not heavy at all), mascara, light flesh colored eyeshadow, and sheer lip gloss. It may sound like alot, but I have never been someone who applies heavily. The only jewelry I wear is a watch.
