I'm just curious! I'm just starting (at the ripe 'ol age of 35, LOL!) looking into a career in nursing. I've worked in hospitals and clinics doing medical transcription for years and years, and way back when used to be a pre-physical therapy major (I've taken chemistry, anatomy, biology...don't know if they would count, as it's been several years). I would be attending MJC for pre-reqs and (fiingers crossed) the nursing program eventually and I would really love to have a student's view, how difficult it is to get into the program, any general advice, etc.
way to go mammato3... i was crossing my fingers for ya, I feel devastated after just getting a no my first time applying i can imagine how you must have felt 5 times..... congrats to everybody... i think i am gonna look into private schools... i knew my chances were slim but I blew through 36 units in 2 semesters and got all A's and one B trying to make this app period and i feel really upset that i didnt take my time through the pre-reqs and spread them out... but oh well... thats the luck of the draw huh...
I was looking at Gurnick for lvn... maybe even UC Davis for P.A.... aghhh.... this sucks.... they really have to do something about this lottery situation....
Congrats Mammato3!! I was hoping you would get in since you've been trying for like forever!! I'm happy for you!! I also got in, but this was my 3rd time...and I got into Fall 2010!! Yay!! I'm so happy!! To those who didn't get in -- Just stay persistent and it will eventually pay off!! I know it's hard waiting, but hang in there, it'll be worth your while in the end!!
