enfermera408, They will draw names for Fall 2011 as well as Spring 2012. If you are accepted, the letter will tell you whether you were accepted for Fall or Spring. Fall 2011 starts August 29th and Spring 2012 starts in January. Hope that helps!:)

ElBee, Great! I'll see you there too:) When I dropped off my intent paper, I told the front desk about the uniforms not being ready until then and she said that is cutting it too close, so I dont know if they are going to do anything about that. I dont have too much checked off my list. I have my physical appt. on Tuesday so I hope I can get a lot more done. I haven't done my drug test or my background check yet. With Christmas and three kids its hard to find the $$$ to do all of it. I wish they would give us our financial aid checks early:( How is your checklist coming?

Hey, Has anyone purchased their book for the BLS class yet? Just thought I would let you know that Amazon has a bunch of used ones for pretty cheap. I ordered mine today for $10 that includes shipping. Our packets says that we have to have it and read it by the time the BLS class starts. Which BLS class did you guys sign up for? I chose the Jan. 4th one.

Hey everyone, I just asked allied health about the uniforms because it does not say anything in our packet about dove apparel. They said they switched to wilsons uniforms on mchenry and they are $40 for the shirt, 24 for the pants, and $5 for the patch and wilson's said they wont be ready until the end of January.

Hey everyone, I just talked to allied health and she said the packets were due to go out today but there is a delay and they will more than likely go out on Monday!! Man, I just want to get my stuff started already!!! Hopefully there won't be anymore delays:uhoh3:

apoppyfield is right...don't give up! It will all work out. I am a little worried as well but I will do anything it takes to get through school!! I have 3 kids and a husband who gets layed off frequently so I rely on financial aid. I will definitely look into getting some stuff early.

Hi everyone, I thought I would let you guys know that I called the financial aid office at MJC yesterday and talked to the lady who is in charge of the nursing loans. She told me that they gave out 15 loans and that their funds are now depleted. They won't be giving out anymore nursing loans until 2012!! Does anyone know of any other loans that MJC has?

dvas00, Yes, unfortunately, that is the case. I had applied 4 times already and they told me that I would not be able to reapply for the 5th time unless I had completed Math 90. I was sooo mad, I even met with the Director of the nursing program and she told me I HAD to take it to reapply. I was able to get into the spring 2010 math 90 class so that I could reapply in May and I got in for Spring 2011!!! Good luck to you:D

mizukusai, thanks for the info!!:) it's so expensive, luckily i get financial aid that should pay for just about all of it. i do wish i had gotten in to fall but i guess it is better that i am working through christmas. i have 3 kids and christmas is expensive for me. congrats on getting in and let us know how first semester is.
