Hi Bristowa, I'm going into my second semester at SCC and from what the teachers told us once you make it into the pool it's 100% random. Nothing helps or hurts after that.

I agree with you 100% the commute, time away from my family, and the cost would have killed me!I actually got into another nursing school SCC! I was super shocked because this would have be my first choice! I think all the schools felt bad for me waiting soooooooo long so they just let me in! I accepted the spot at SCC and am working thru the packet! Enjoy you're NS experience keep in touch! :)

Hey everyone I'm very sad to say I won't be joining you in the Spring. I have just been accepted to a NS 20min from my house. I live an hour and a half from Modesto but was willing to drive for such a great school with such great people. I want to thank all of you for you're encouragement and support. I know you all kick will major A$$ in NS!!! :redbeathe

I'll try to make this as short as possible! In August I was accepted to MJC I was sooooo thrilled and have even made some friends thru this site that got accepted also. It's an hour and a half drive for me each way. I have been awarded financial aid and all my duck's are inline. Today I just found out I've been accepted to ARC. I live twenty minutes away. I haven't heard if this is a good school or not (MJC is an excellent school). The NCLEX passing rates are in the eighty's at ARC and that scares me. Also I will not be able to receive financial aid. Any advice please. I don't wan't to sit on this for very long because I don't feel it would be fair to the person who will get my spot. I wan't them to have plenty of time to get everything together. And to enjoy their last few months of freedom! :lol2:

Thanks ElBee I was too scared to contact anyone! At least now I can just expect them "soon". apoppyfield I don't know how you can be so relaxed about it but I admire you for it. I think I'm just soooooooooo excited I let it get the best of me. I have gotten a few of the books and started studying the lists of pre fixes and stuff. I think after waiting for three years I'm just ready to start!!

Has anyone received their packet yet? Yes I know it's only the 2nd and we weren't suppost to get it till the 1st but what can I say I'm a bit crazy! Please post when you get you're packet so I can stop driving myself mad ! I keep having dreams that I didn't get accepted it was all in my head!!!!! :lol2:

Thank you apoppyfield and Mammato3 for being so encouraging! apoppyfield you're right if I start buying stuff now it shouldn't be so bad. How did you get the information for the uniforms? Would you mind sharing? I won't give up because of financial problems or anything else for that matter. I've been poor my whole life so a few more years wont kill me! :) I'm going to follow you're advise and start buying things now! Would you mind sharing all the info you have for what we need so I can start shopping? I have tried to look it up but haven't had much luck. Thank you again for you're support! Mammato3 I can't believe they don't keep some funds for the Spring students like us! I hope they have something else I'm not sure if I will be able to afford school if not?
