Does it work out? Want to know some experience or advice.
I agree with the commuter. Most of the younger docs and students are dating / married to other doctors. That said I know of one RN dating a med student. Male RN, female med student. Also know 2 female RNs who are dating the same (married) resident. One of these days soon they are all going to find out about each other and all hell will break loose.
My boyfreind is a 4th year med student; he will finish this May. We've been together almost 4 years, long distance relationship. To answer your question regarding if these kinds of relationships usually work out? I would have to guess rarely. Maybe after med school during or after residency but dating a med student is tough. This is the craziest, most stressful, most emotional relationship I've ever been in, but you can't help who you fall in love with. They never have any time. They are often depressed. They are always tired. They are always stressed out. They can often be butt holes and take out their frustrations on you.

Sounds like a novela. Wouldn't you just love to somehow end up in the breakroom with a tub of popcorn when they all fight it out!
Has any one ever considered a dentist? My girlfriend is in her 3rd year of dental school and she's THE best ever. She said a lot of the students who go on to be oral surgeons easily develop the "god-complex", but I have noticed that a lot of her friends that are completing the general track of 4 years aren't that way. They get a little nuts over teeth sometimes; nothing like having lunch with 5 dental students to make you hate teeth, but at least they're not doing it just for the money! Many of our dates are 6-12 hour study sessions where we keep each other sane.
I think the reason dating a dentist is so nice is because dentists and nurses typically don't work in the same area. Less tension, maybe? Less bias towards/for a certain profession?
P.S. Surprisingly, we find time for normal dates too. Understanding goes a long way in any relationship.

It has been my experience, that the partner the med student is with while in school, is not the one they end up with.
For some reason, the person who worked and put them through school, suddenly becomes unacceptable when they're an MD.
But it it's just dating, why not?
