Anyone applying in 2011

Hey guys i saw a lot of threads about those applying in 2010...i was wondering if anyone was applying in 2011, planning ahead and stuff...i just recently changed my major to nursing and i'll be taking Patho 1 and A&P 1 next semester. It never hurts to plan early right...I attend UNM (University of New Mexico)....Nice to meet you guys :up:

Can you guys believe we have 2 more semesters till we could hopefully be in nursing school....i am very excited!!!

I'm applying for fall of 2011 entry. :] The school I currently attend doesn't have a nursing major, so I'm just taking all the prereqs along with the rest of my majors' requirements right now.

Winter 2010

Anatomy

Nutrition

Spring 2010

Microbiology

Summer 2010

Developmental Psychology

Cultural Anthropology

Fall 2010

Public Speaking

Interpersonal Communication

Abnormal Psychology

I'm applying to four schools for Fall 2011 too!!! I still have to take anatomy/physiology/microbiology, sociology, developmental psychology, and elementary chemistry. Then Im applying to one more school in fall of 2011 just to cover my bases. What if I get into 2 or 3 lol, no but I wish! Im in northern cali and we all know how it is here.

Me! Or maybe 2012, even. I haven't started prereqs yet (will start in January.) It'll take me awhile to get through them as I can't take more than 1-2 clases at a time.

Good luck with your prereqs! I started prereqs a few semesters ago, but d/t having two little ones, I've been going through the classes two at a time. Here's my plan:

Spring 10

Microbiology

English 102

Fall 10

Chemistry

Life Span Development

Spring 11

Computer class

Elective (I want to do something fluffy like acting, but I know that wont help me in the long run)

Fall 11

A&P 1

Spring 12

A&P 2

Somewhere in there I have to take the TEAS. I may try it in the fall 10/spring 11 time frame. And hopefully I'll get in nursing school for fall 2012. :up:

Updating mine to start of fall 2011. Met with my counselor and she informed me that at the CC level there isn't a waiting list at there... soooo whoohoo! I originally wanted to attend the State level to obtain my BSN... still will go the course and apply there as well, but with all the competition, I am applying to both and whomever accepts me first will be the lucky one to get me!! :loveya:

Wow! finished my first semester!!!! so proud! and so excited and yes, I cannot beleive how close it is becoming!!!!!

-Off- because I will be having a baby and my other kids will be 6, 4 and 2 by then. I know some people can, but I cant handle taking summer classes and having a baby at the same time.

I will be finished all of my prereqs in 2010.

Well, I have my pre-reqs done and my name on the list. I have to finish my core classes before I'll get in though. Once summer is done, I have to renew my name on the list and I'll be done with my core classes at that point.

Spring - A&P2, Stats, Human Growth & Devel, Med Term, Lifetime Fitness and maybe my second Eng.

Summer - Micro and something else to get to six credits (Eng if I drop it from Spring).

Fall - Full time credits to fill time that will count towards my Bachelors unless by some miracle of God I get into the fall class (highly unlikely)

Spring 2011 - hopeful start, if not, I'll be playing around with more credits that will go towards my Bachelor's.

Fall 2011 - hoping I won't have to wait until fall to start.

My school doesn't let you take micro until your done with A&P 2. And you can never get into it over the summer or fall unless your a clinical nursing student. Which is why I'm stuck waiting til 2011 to apply. *sigh*
