Anyone applying in 2011

Hey guys i saw a lot of threads about those applying in 2010...i was wondering if anyone was applying in 2011, planning ahead and stuff...i just recently changed my major to nursing and i'll be taking Patho 1 and A&P 1 next semester. It never hurts to plan early right...I attend UNM (University of New Mexico)....Nice to meet you guys :up:

I am have started applying to 3 schools for this year. Hopefully by March I should have an answer with at least 2 of them.

Good Luck and Its AWSOME that you want to go into Nursing.

FYI....... Make sure you Really Really Really get a good understanding of Anatomy and Physiology. I got an A+ this Fall, It really is very interesting,, :)

i,to, will be applying in the spring 10. i will be finish with all my pre-req by the end of the year(i am going for my bsn, so in the mix ,i also will be clearly a few bsn degree classes as well). good luck all;)

I am shooting for applying in 2011, but it looks like I probably won't be able to until 2012, it will depend on how quickly I'm able to get through the pre reqs, I guess.

I will hopefully be applying for Spring '11 entrance to an LPN program. This coming semester I am taking a&p I and lab, Math 98 (low math scores), Medical terminology. Summer I am taking Math 100 and a&pII. Fall I will take Pharmacolgy. Once I finish Math 100, I can submit my app. Pharmacology and a&p II are co-reqs for my program. It's been a slow road... I'm challengingmy CNA skills test for the 2nd time on Jan 10. There were changes made since I completed my course, and because of that I failed my first skills test. I filed an appeal, and they acknowledged that I did as I was taught, but they did say I have to re-challenge. GL to everyone!

I had a minor set back last year but so far my schedule for Spring 2010 is Chem and Micro. I am going to apply to one school for Fall 2010 admission because they have no testing requirement. Pending the outcome of my admission to that school I will use the latter half of 2010 to study and take applicable tests and then apply in 2011. I am applying to ABSN programs in Florida.

I'm now trying to make the famous decision of And or BSN..I'm planning to apply to the 2011 ADN program my school offers which is 18 months. There's a private college that has a 2 year BSN prgram but is more expensive. Part of me feels like I should get the BSN out the way since it is my goal anyway while I'm in "school mode"..any suggestions?

I'm having a hard time trying to apply to more than one school though, since every school wants different pre-reqs. If i try to satisfy the wants of just 3 schools I'll be doing pre-reqs forever :banghead: Anyone else having this issue? I want to have at least two schools to apply to, having one as a priority and the other as plan B.

I say go with the BSN, no reason inparticular other than the fact that if you can get a BSN why not...instead of an ADN?:D

I am talking Nutrition and A&P 2 this spring, and i will be all done and ready to start nursing program! Well, that is if i will get accepted:-)

:banghead: I just realized I don't have the right stats class!!! I have STA 1060 but I am required to take STA 2023....well better to learn this now and not while in the process of applying :uhoh3: I was so set on this being my last semester of pre-req's and there is no way I could juggle micro chem and stats while working full time.

September 15 for Spring 2010, i will apply in June or July though.... Sooo Excited
