Anyone applying in 2011

Published

Hey guys i saw a lot of threads about those applying in 2010...i was wondering if anyone was applying in 2011, planning ahead and stuff...i just recently changed my major to nursing and i'll be taking Patho 1 and A&P 1 next semester. It never hurts to plan early right...I attend UNM (University of New Mexico)....Nice to meet you guys

I will start my pre-req's in January and will apply for Fall of 2011. It seems a long way off but maybe time will fly by!

Hello Everyone!!! I am also planning ahead (way ahead) for Nursing School. If my plan stays on track 100%, I will be in a Nursing program in 2011. I have sat at this same job and desk for the last 10 years contemplating whether or not to actually go back to school. Well I finally made up my mind to go back to school. I haven't been in a college class room in over 10 years. When I think back on all the time I have spent at my POE, I could be a doctor by now. But I figure everything happens in its own time and when its supposed to. Best wishes to everyone here and know that WE WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!!

I hate that I have to wait so long to register for Winter quarter, the classes I need are filling up so quickly!

I just checked again, and all the A & P 1 classes at my school are filled and closed. Wow! Registration just opened! I'm so grateful to have a seat...:yeah:

Oh man!!..pray for me...registration starts on the 30th of november and i register on the 7th:eek:...i dont think i have a chance :o

Stay positive!! I'm sure you'll be fine. But just in case, are there other classes that you need that you could take?Maybe some gen eds? If A & P is closed by the time you get to register, you could always see if your school has a waitlist for classes, or just keep checking to see if a seat opens up... good luck and keep us posted!!!

Because of the way the school I'm at now does classes I can't apply till 2011 it's looking like. I can't take micro bio in anything but the fall & spring but can't take it until I finish A&P 2 in the spring so unless I get accepted to somewhere else conditionally and I go there to take microbio in the summer, I'm stuck till Spring 2011

I missed taking the TEAS test in time, so I too am going to be going in in Fall 2011. Possibly even later, depending on how my prereqs go. I was told by several people to take as many classes beforehand as you can...once you get into the actual nursing courses, it gets really hard.

I'm going to Mitchell Community College in Statesville, North Carolina, and I love the atmosphere there. :redbeathe Hopefully I'll get to stay there, but that all depends on how my current relationship goes :loveya: If it goes...I may be moving back down to Atlanta, and then I've got to transfer and stuff...not looking forward to that, but he has an awesome job, and I don't...guess who gets to move?

Sooo, anyone who goes to Mitchell, or went to Mitchell in the past, please contact me! I'd love to know what your experiences are/were...and which teachers to avoid! That's a whole topic in itself! lol

I just found out that another community college in my state offers an Intro to Stats class online, and I've got myself on the waiting list for it. I hope doing this online isn't as crazy as I'm afraid it might be!

Are any of you guys taking an advanced chem class... i intend to go to grad school for Nurse Anesthesia and some of the school require it...so i am taking an integrated biochem/organic chem class....anyone here doing the same thing?
