    I know that my nursing school only looks at and goes by the courses associated with the degree that you are going for so if you Bachelors is in something all together different and you have to take your pre-reqs it won't hurt you.

    I totally Agree!... I couldn't have said it better myself. Going to the charge nurse and tattling on her won't get you anywhere. You kind of have to work the system you know... play the game. Because you are new you don't want to come off as a tattle...

    I think that if you are the one that is sick and calling in... then the phrase is "calling in sick" but if you are the one that is working and reporting it to someone else then you would say that the person called out. But hey... I could be wrong!
