Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
Hey SummitAP CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's awesome!!! So, which one do you think you're going to go with if you get both?
Thanks :) I'm kind of in the state of mind right now where I don't even know what I'm going to do in the next minute much less about CU vs Regis. I think if I manage to get into CU as well, I'd have to talk to students and graduates of both programs...
CU is cheaper though... 50% cheaper even with the tuition hike.
Sand_Dollar: I can't believe you didn't get the letter today, what a pain! I hope for all of you who are still waiting that you will have your letters tomorrow.
Summit AP: Congrats on being accepted at Regis, which start date? You applied to the traditional program, right? Maybe we will see each other on campus, if you decide to go there, since I sent out my rejection for CU today and decided to stick with Regis (accelerated program).
For those who asked about notification deadline, notification deadline for the accelerated June start date is early April (April 09 I believe). And one of you lucky guys might just have gotten off the call list since I declined my spot
Just got my acceptance today in SF, CA! I am shocked to get into any of these programs in these times so I am excited. It also happen to come with my rejection letter to OHSU (no surprise). But these were my last two schools so now I can officially make a decision. Anyhow, it looks like it has no tuition info so I may have to call to verify. Right now it looks like out of state for CO will be more than Columbia with scholarship (my other acceptance), so that may be good news for the waitlist folks. Also, I applied for the accelerated and was accepted into the traditional for summer 2010. They gave until April 9 to respond. Congrats to those who have been accepted, if only I was paying in state tuition it would be a done deal since this school is so great.
Xtina2010 - Thanks!! I live in southern california (inland empire). Sorry you didn't get your letter today, hopefully it will come tomorrow. Good luck, I hope it's a yes!
sfrntobe - Congrats on your acceptances!! I'm in the same situation kind of. Denver is my first choice, but I'm worried about the out-of-state tuition being so high. I was surprised they didn't send any info on fees and financial aid in the packet - I'm just worried about getting everything straightened out in time, with the summer start date being so soon. Yikes, so much to figure out in a hurry!
Congrats everyone who received their acceptance today!
Sand_dollar and cocogirl: I can't believe you haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. I am thinking of you both, hopefully they will come tomorrow! Hang in there. Keep us updated!
You have to let them know by April 9th (for the summer term) if you are accepting or declining admission. In addition to the accepting/declining form you have to send in three checks (Deposit $200, Background check $65, and also a check for when you get your drug test $35), and a couple other forms. This has to be the first time I didn't mind writing a check over to someone.
For everyone on the call list: Stay hopeful! I am thinking of y'all! I have heard that they call many people on the wait list. Someone I knew last year got called two days before orientation. :) Many people end up deciding that the program or the school isn't right for them, so don't give up hope!
