anyone applying to CU for 2010?

Published

Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.

I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.

BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.

Hey everyone! Congratulations to those of you who were accepted, I received my letter today and knew that it was a rejection before I even opened it :-) Ah well, on to plan B. . .

Oh COJade80, I'm sorry.

Do you have your plan B already figured out? I honestly figure I'll be pulling mine out of the folder on Monday, so I can understand where you are coming from.

Sorry to hear that COJade :( Everything will work out for you!

To everyone who finds out in the upcoming days: Best of luck, you are so close to finding out! I am thinking of all of you :) Keep us posted!

BIG Thanks to everyone who has posted their stats!

Does CU have a 2 year traditional program? I am seeing from replies that some are getting the traditional entry instead of the accelerated.

Yes CU does have a traditional program. That's the one I applied to. Hopefully I find out this afternoon.

Awesome! Do they have information on the site about the program? I was only able to find information for the 4 year traditional degree.

Oh wait.... I thought you meant it was done in two years, not a 2 year ASN, sorry my bad. They offer all BSN routes only (well and MSN, etc)

Now, did I get it right this time, or did I misunderstand again. I think the stress is getting to me! lol

I found it, never mind. For some reason I thought UC Denver only offered the ABSN or RN to BSN programs. I see now that their traditional BSN program is 2 years! Fantastic!

congrats to everyone who got in! i'm still waiting over here in california, hopefully today though! Question: does anyone know out of state tuition cost for the accelerated program?

@ Xtina2010: Yeah, I live in CA too and was also wondering about tuition for out-of-staters - the only info on tuition I've been able to find is here: http://www.nursing.ucdenver.edu/admissions/tuition.htm

It looks like it's probably $816 per credit and if the ABSN is about 66 credits... then something like $54,000? I'm not sure how good this info is though...

But let's cross our fingers that we both get our letters today out here in CA :D

I still didn't get anything in the mail today. Now I am worried that the mailman put it in the wrong mailbox. We get other people's mail all of the time. :(

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!

I just saw in the news today that CU is raising tuition by 9% for in-State, and 5% for out-of-State tuition.
