anyone applying to CU for 2010?

Published

Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.

I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.

BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.

Hey all,

It's taken me a long time to find this forum, but I applied for the 2 year traditional option (I'm a second degree student though). How many of you have heard back from UCD? I'm on pins and needles here....just wondering. The wait is killing me!

I know some of you have been talking about the recent tuition hike for CU. Here is what I found out about Anschutz and the nursing program specifically in the Denver Post. You can check out the article online through their website if your interested in reading further.

"At the Anschutz Medical Campus, the total cost of attendance for nursing students will rise by $780, also due mostly to a $420 tuition hike"

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone today!

My mail comes early, so I already go today's and I STILL didn't get anything! I am starting panic and go insane from the waiting! :crying2:

I still haven't received anything either. I am losing any hope that I had. It seems like they only mailed the acceptance and call list letters since I haven't heard of any rejections. I wish I would just get something so I know what my plans are, though I am thinking it is going to be plan b more and more.

Anyone else receive anything today?

What is your plan B cocogirl? I am going to apply to AIMS CC for next fall. ACC could be open for competitive for a fall 2011 start as well. If I get into one of those I will take an online RN to BSN program (at least I have most of my pre-reqs already done then). I am debating UNC because of all the 3 additional classes I would need (above those needed for CCs).

The mailman hasn't come yet today. I think he's going slow to enjoy the sunshine!

Nothing in the mail.

Hi Everyone...I have been following these threads for several months but just joined today because I, too, have not received any notification in the mail. I live in Castle Rock and thought my grades might be good enough to get in, but I think it is strange that out of state applicants have already received their letters and several of us "locals" haven't. My previous BSBN degree GPA was 3.77 and my prereqs were 4.0. Do you think that if we haven't heard by now, we are not going to get an acceptance letter? I don't know what to think at this point...

Not that I expect this to make you feel any better, but I live in northern NM, and I have yet to receive any news, whereas some of our friends from California on here have. I feel your pain; I wish they would just mail ALL letters on the same day. Seems unfair....but such is life I guess.

I haven't heard anything in OR either!! And the acceptance date for the Summer term is April 9th....... pushing it close CU!! sheeshhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Hi All! I am so sorry everyone is still having to wait! If it makes anyone feel better my friend in Littleton received an email from CU declining her admissions. So maybe the delay is just a fluke? I thought it was interesting that she received an email rather than a letter. Hope this helps.

Wow, I haven't heard of anyone getting an email. COJade said she even got hers by letter.

One friend of mine had a good idea. She said that perhaps they are waiting to see what the response rate is like for the first batch, before they send out the second. Then they can see how many to add to the call list. What do you think?

Maybe someone could call? Me, I'm a chicken.....
