Hi I am in my second semester (of 4) and I will turn 37 on Aug 29th. I have three great kids (12, 9 and 8) Most of the girls I "hang" with in school are in their mid 20's. Sometimes I forget how old I am!! They keep me young. Some of the girls are even younger, I really feel the age thing when I tell them how old my kids are and they reply "Oh my sister is that age!!"
Anyway I LOVE nursing and I cant wait to finish and start my career. Good Luck to everyone it is refreshing to see so many older students reaching for their goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
A father-son duo ????!! I'd pay money to be a fly on the wall in your class ...Good luck to both of you!
And it's spelled "embarass" - you'll need to know. :chuckle
pssst MLOS...it's spelled embarrass :) not meant to embarrass you of course!
Welcome to everyone else over 35. I'm way of 35!
Hi Everyone,
I am 38 and I start LPN school in a week. When I took the test (NET) to get in all but one of the other girls were in their early twenties. That was just one testing day though. I sure hope there is someone closer to my age also. Plan on going on for my RN after LPN school. I will be 40 by the time I get into the RN program.
Any tips on keeping energized. I also have two toddlers. Ikes. Glad I am one of many older students.:)
How awesome to the father and son team. Good luck, hopefully you guys don't drive each other too crazy.
Have a great weekend ya'll.

OMG! Right you are, Suzy ... :imbar :imbar :rotfl:
I'll take the time to point out that I believe you're trying to tell us that you're way "over" 35, not "of" 35 ... :chuckle
I just turned 46, and I'm starting my 4th semester of my pre-reqs to get into the nursing program. Most of my classmates are a lot younger than me, but I do know of a male pre-nursing student in my biology class who is starting out at the age of 57, so I guess it's never too late! I had to wait till my kids were older, plus my ex wouldn't let me go to nursing school, so I'm getting a late start. Oh well, at least I'm doing it now!!!!
