  1. Nursebyfaith - I have St.Onge for Research and Nelson for Foundations. I am in the Phenix City-Columbus area.
  2. I figured as much, she also told me I would have to pay to have my exams proctored.
  3. I too am curious why Troy's FNP program is horrible.. I start next week with Research Methodology and Foundations of Advanced Practice. I am attending part-time. I did have a friend ask me why I chose Troy when it is such a hard school that has proctored tests and you can't use books while taking tests ... she chose another school that I also spoke with. When they told me I could start within a week, I was me very skeptical. There are quite a few NPs in my area that graduated from Troy and are working with very well known practices. I guess I will see how it goes.
  4. I am in a similar situation. I have a statistics class that is outdated and I will have to repeat the class in order to apply to FNU. It is my understanding that the class will need to be completed before I can submit an application package. I have researched other schools that do not require a repeat of this class, but I do not have the same gut feeling about them as I do about FNU. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel this is the right fit for me. All of my e-mail correspondence with staff has been very friendly and informative.
  5. We get a report in person, but some of the PACU nurses will give a call to see if we are ready for the patient and let us know about any special setups we will need for the patient.
  6. I PASSED!!! Thank goodness. It was kind of cool because my parents were in town for my daughter's high school graduation and they were able to celebrate with me. I called the BON three times so they could hear the computer voice say my name (LOL). I danced a little jig around my living room. Now I feel lost without any studying to do. It's kind of hard to relax now, but I will give it a shot!! Thanks for all the support on this board, it's great!!!
  7. I knew you had passed. GREAT JOB AND CONGRATULATIONS!!! Have a great time this weekend celebrating!!!
  8. This sounds exactly like my experience!! I passed and you will too!!
  9. i passed!!! fortunately va bon has an automated line you can call for results in 24 hours. no more studying..at least for a little while. thanks for the support. i'll be thinking good thoughts for everyone taking their exam today!!:biggringi
  10. I am not in a quick results state, but I think the state BON has the license #s on the web site in about 48 hours, so that lets you know whether you have passed or not!!! I will be logged on Friday at 0859!!
  11. Avery, I had 75 questions, several priority type and no math at all. Hope this is good!!
  12. You have the right attitude. I took it this morning and I am somewhat relieved..now just have to wait for the results. I did some deep breathing exercises before the exam in my cubicle...I'm sure I was a sight to behold (hehe)...did a little praying in the restroom as well. Get some rest this afternoon and this evening. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE..YOU CAN DO IT!!
  13. I took the NCLEX this morning and finished in a little over an hour with 75 questions. I had a lot of priority questions, no math whatsoever. I prayed for the screen to shut off at 75 and it did...but on the way home I'm thinking to myself that could be really good or really bad. I sure hope it is a good sign. Good luck to all of us taking the NCLEX this week.
  14. Okay that will be my mantra... most people do past the first time...most people do pass the first time...most people do past the first time...LOL;)
  15. I am glad to see I'm not the only one!!! I am scheduled to take the NCLEX this Wednesday (06/14) at 0900. I started wondering if I should wait two more weeks (going on vacation next week)...but I figured I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself. Then there is the issue with everyone telling me I will do fine. I wish I could see what they see!!! :uhoh3:
