Apparently nurses get too much attention or something.
There used to be one. What happened to it?
Its disappearance bothers me more that changing 'nurses week' to 'hospital week.' I've looked for that emoji several times...especially during the 'straining grandma' discussion and all its, umm, permutations.
FWIW, I think my hospital has kept nurses week, and a week or 2 later it is hospital week.

Eh. I'm not sure I care. We do a lot of nurse-centric activities during the week. But all of our nursing, support staff and friend of nursing type awards are given out during this week.
The school I'm attending for my Master's degree manager to top that in a not so awesome way. In our weekly newsletter they call out whatever professional specialty week it may be and recognize that specialty. Literally, every specialty recognition known to man. Just not perioperative nurses because that happens to be the same week as national nurse practitioner week or some bs like that. Oooh wait, that's right...we're not "real" nurses according to most other specialties. We can forget about being considered "real" by most established academics...right up until they need a procedure and ask us what will happen, how, why and which provider is the best to see...
