I am so happy for everyone that passed but i keep saying to myself "why couldn't that be me?" It just kills me to think i have failed Nclex RN twice and others take it one time and pass. I have been studying using Suzanne's plan this time and i'm scheduled to retest next month. Please throw some good vibes my way cos i need all the help i can get.
Any other 2nd and 3rd time test takers out there?
Hey everyone I am so glad I found this site... and this thread. I found out a couple days ago that I failed the exam for the second time. To be quite honest, I know I did not try my 100% in the study process those last two times but I Will this third time. that's the great thing I realized about the NCLEX- that we are all Lucky enough to take it over again.:) positive thinking right?
you can expect me to be in this forum a lot these upcoming weeks. I hope to learn from you all and also share my studying experiences with you.
Good Luck and keep in touch everyone talk to you all soon
I posted a thread about my passing the exam for the 3rd time @ 265 questions. I took it the 1st 2 times bf my wedding and I was just so stressed out and was just trying to get it over with and I did not pass. The 3rd time I took it was 2 mos after my wedding. I got the whole 265 and never expected to pass but I DID and you will too. I honestly did not study too long. For only about 2 weeks bf the exam I studied for about 2-4 hrs a day. I read the Kaplan book that I got when I took the course. It was very helpful but I only had enough time to get through about 1/2 of the book. The facts in it help a lot. Also, I used a workbook called, "Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment". That was also very helpful. Besides that I used the CD-ROM from Lippincott and to tell you the truth I was only getting like 60's on those quizzes so for anyone who tells you that you need to get 75% on the practice quizzes to pass the NCLEX, that's obviously not always the case. Honestly I think I was more relaxed this time and that is what helped me to pass. Also, I changed my plan of studying the 3rd time around. Like I said, I never thought I would pass but I did. Just hang in there and no matter how many times it takes you have worked too hard to ever give up. You can and you will do it. Keep me posted and let me know if I can help you out at all.
I graduated in May and took the exam in September, 75 questions and failed miserably. I had to push my job off 45 days and I took it again in November, 177 questions and failed, again pushed my job off til January. I took the test on Friday and I had 233 questions. I think i might have gotten the last question wrong but im not positive however I felt better this time.I havent been able to do anything since the test...I dont think I can go through this again. I studied 8 to 10 hours a day for an entire month as well as the Kaplan review course and throughout my entire studies since September ive done a little over 5000 questions.. This site is amazing and everyone is soo supportive..i appreciate all your encouragement to get me through this stressful time.
I am just new to this site. I took my nclex twice and failed in california.I took 3rd time on december 6th.I haven't got my result yet.My stopped around 85 or 90 can't remember.first was stopped 265 and 2nd 150 or so.I am so nervous. Is anybody out there got there result who took around that time.
I took NCLEX on DEC.20 and failed for 3rd time I don't know what to do, how to study this time. I'm ready to face the books again my goal is to be an RN. Last time I used Suzanne's plan I thought I was doing very good but failed. Even if I failed with her plan I like her plan It put everything together she advised me to use her plan again but don't spend more hours studying like I did before. I need to heal what you think about how I can study this time.I'm so confused!
