The heck of it is, if you eat a lowfat diet and exercise regularly, you're going to lose weight anyway..........with or without the pills.
Plus, if you do it without 'em, you're going to save yourself sixty bucks a month AND the embarrassment of odoriferous and/or oily emanations.
Just my two scents---er, cents'---worth.
Those pills are all garbage!!!!What happened to old fashioned EXERCISE and EATING IN MODERATION????
Leave it to us americans to think we can sit on our rumps, take a pill, and loose weight!
Sorry just a vent that I am sure I will get flamed for.

I would bet you arent' overweight. Because you would understand that it is easier said than done.
Well said, jmgrn65.
I spent two weeks debating on trying Alli and doing research before trying it. I've taken it for five days now. I have not had any problems with gas, oily farts
IMHO, the "magic" of the pill lies less in it's active ingrediants, and more in the mindset of the person taking it. You eat less fats, because of the side effects, and since you are actively taking a diet pill, weight/food/health is constantly on your mind, so you make better food and exercise choices. Of course, this leads to weight loss.
I certainly agree with you. I do have to add that the sure way to avoid those unintended bowel related mishaps would be to stop eating altogether. No food-----lose weight------wow, the pill works Something like how antibuse is effective.

Not exactly a flame, but perhaps you might try a little more understanding of the issues that overweight individuals face. I've been on Adipex for 2 1/2 months now and it's not a miracle pill, but does help me to stick with the very low calorie (
As for Alli - I can't see taking any med that includes in the warnings to carry a change of clothes and wear dark colors!

I have been using it for 3 weeks.... lost 8 pounds (lowfat, plus exercise); have NEVER had a problem.
Yes, you can stop taking it... I had a dinner I had to attend so I didn't take the pill (somewhere in the directions it says to take one pill - no more than 3 a day - if you know you are going to have a high fat meal - but, no more than 15 grams of fat at a meal...so, I didn't take a pill before that meal since I wasn't sure how high in fat it would be).... it worked out well.
Good luck!
