Wow! I knew people cheated, but really??? I was just glancing over health care jobs and found this. Not really what I had in mind for a job. What is wrong with people?

Looking for Medical Student or LPN/RN Student

I'm a nursing student taking nursing courses online. Looking for a Medical Student or RN.

I need a creative writer skilled in research and composition and APA formatting needed to ghostwrite nursing school coursework. This is a regular gig. Each week, writer will be required to research and compose two APA-formatted discussion board answers of approximately 300 -400 words each, as well as four APA-sourced and formatted responses(150 words) to other peer postings. Occasionally, writer will be expected to complete additional written paper assignments 3 pages long. I do not need an editor. Only mature individuals need respond.

Do you think this shows good moral character? Do you think this person would take shortcuts in cairn for patients? Should this person get to go to grad school on those grades? Do you think they would be honest about things at work?

Good questions.

1.) Of course this doesn't show good moral character.

2.) I cannot say for sure if taking shortcuts in writing papers equates to taking shortcuts with care.

3.) Should they? Likely not. My question was, "Is it our place to judge?"

4.) Again, I cannot say, for sure.

Guess I'll play devil's advocate by saying: One cannot say, for sure, what this person would do on the field. It's indicative that they may utilize shortcuts with their care, but it does not mean it will happen as so. Perhaps this person is working full time, two jobs even, and trying to get their BSN meanwhile. And maybe they're putting all of their focus on the patients, subsequently causing them to think that cutting corners with their school work is the right thing to do.

I don't know this person, neither does anyone here. I don't agree, or condone their actions, but I cannot sit here and chastise them either.

I may be the minority, and I certainly don't want you guys to hold back your opinions, but mine is one of minding my own business.... again, as long as the patients are cared for appropriately (my only concern).

I'd be happy to write those papers and discussion board responses.

I could cite The Onion, and Wikipedia.

Love it. Well worth the $5/hr rate. You forgot Dr. Google though

I guess.......but coming from a nursing student IMO makes it much worst.....and since this is "AllNurses" the only "society" i care to comment on is the nursing society/community. IJS

Well then, happy Sunday.

Their willingness to cheat so "publicly" however, seems indicative of a certain amount of hubris that can go seriously wrong for that person in numerous ways, and THAT is scary. Also, who is to say the person won't do the assignments, get paid and then rat on the person?[/quote']

I would. :cheeky:

I am being facetious

Wow- My very first (and abiding) thought was that this was an instructor who was privy to some very specific intel, looking to bust someone.[/quote']

I was thinking that this was a setup.

If it is real; who's to say that the person who responds is willing as the person who is looking for someone is up to risking their license?

Isn't this reportable to the BON?

Well then, happy Sunday.

Same to you!

I responded to the ad. If the fool is dumb enough to give info about their school/program i will report it. Why? Because someone like this does not deserve to have the honor of an advanced degree. It lowers the bar and deminishes all that people who worked hard for the same degree have done to EARN it. I would do the same if I found out a classmate did the same thing.

Eh I am not even mad, those APA BSN papers are so BS and full of fluff and theory I might have paid someone to do it as well. Nothing in my BSN program helped me in my practice and I went to a top tier school...

Several studies have linked academic dishonesty with unethical clinical practice:

Involvement of nursing students in unethical classroom and clinical behaviors (free abstract, must either have access through school/employer or pay for full article)

High tech cheating (free abstract, must either have access through school/employer or pay for full article)

Over 9,000 Google Scholar results can be found for link between unethical classroom behavior and unethical clinical practice. I can only imagine how many more can be found with other key words.

Wow, I guess you CAN buy a degree. Sad and upsetting all around.

I have seen some RN to BSN programs online where you basically buy the degree, the curriculum is that worthless.
