So, i am guessing we've all registered for our classes for next semester...i wanted to start a thread where everyone taking the course can come together to ask questions they need help with or just vent or LOL....watever the case may be...so if you are taking A&P 1 in the spring...introduce your self...
a. How many credits you are taking next semester
b. What part of A&P 1 you are looking forward to, are you nervous?
c. How long you have to apply?
d. Some random thing about you?
Lets gooooooo................
Check this thread for some amazing notes by a member.... Polka-dot.(You Rock!!)...for notes on A&P....and welcome to anatomy heaven...:)

That Hole's book is available online for around $125. Not very cheap, but cheaper than $207. My A & P book was $215 at the bookstore but I found it online for $50, including shipping.I have to pay for school and books myself (second degree) and I always comb the internet for cheapers books. One tip you can try is buying an older edition. My A & P instructor says an older edition is usually fine as long as its not too old. My edition is 8th and he said 7th or maybe even 6th would be fine.
Just a couple of ideas. Good luck!
I couldn't look it up by the ISBN #, is this the Hole's Human Anantomy & Physiology? If so, try Half.com. Good luck!
Hi, My name is Bri
I am taking API, Nutrition, and a remedial math (before I can take College Algebra).
I am very nervous about taking API. I am afraid of failure and of not understanding the material. I want to be a nurse so bad but at the same time like I said, I am afraid of failure. Does anyone else feel like me? Or am I just loosing my mind.
Class starts 1/19. I know I can do it if I put time and effort into it but for some odd reason I am terrified!
I hope to apply for the LVN program and RN program if I can get all of my pre-req's done by the deadline date for the fall 2010.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and working together to be successful in our journey to Nursing!!! Let's keep this going!
Hey guys just a little reminder that somewhere in this thread there are valuable materials from some other members that could help all of us, like class notes and exams.... my classes have not started yet, but i am looking forward to solving problems and passing this class with you guys....Good luck
a. I am taking 11 credits for the spring 2010 semester (A&P I, Microbiology, and English II)
b. I am looking forward to getting this class started and learning as much as possible. I am not looking forward to the tests. I am not a good test taker.
c. I will be applying in September of this year to start in Janary 0f 2011.
^ If you need help with French, let me know. It's been a couple years since I took it, but I still remember a fair amount.
Nah, I took three years in high school so I remember most of it as well. It's just time-consuming since she insists we not only do like three paper assignments, but pages in the workbook and online activities as well. It's more annoying then anything. :redpinkhe
i start classes jan 21..on a side note anyone having difficultly trying to find their textbook cheaper online? the ISBN i'm looking for is: 9780077361341
I happen to use http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?binding=&mtype=&keyword=9780077361341 Alibris has new and used books and I got a 11th edition Hole's for less than $20. I did buy a new, 12th edition cat lab manual for the lab and homework assignments.
14 credits this quarter, I haven't been in school in 18 years (paramedic) and am looking forward to moving on in my education. I will apply to nursing school in December 2010 for 2011 start in a nursing program.
So guys, how is school so far? We have to keep this page alive, i start on wednesday and i already have homework!! OMG, but my instructor seems very organised and competent as we already have our home-work posted and our exams are online, open-book, open-note...pretty sweet right? But it is completely brutal. I am reading up like crazy, i think he wants us to be in groups and he is separating us by "interests" i don't know what that means...although i am hoping he separates the class according to major....pre-med, pharm, nursing....so atleast i would have people with similar interests around me....So how are classes going? I figured we could post questions here and help each other out. Goodluck guys :)
I don't have "homework", technically, but our first test is next week. I have three study guides to do for the test, five for my psych class, two more for my chem class...ickickick. Lotsa work to do. Please, please stay on top of everything, guys! It really doesn't pay to get behind, as I'm learning rapidly.

yeah, I did a double take when I saw that too. 6 classes!
Im just overwhelmed taking Anatomy.
Question about studying.
Our teacher says that memorizing is only part of the test, we have to apply the info too. Im not sure how we are supposed to "understand" the material, he doesnt tell us in so many words the way to apply this information.
Any advice?
