The bold lines are the questions from the interviewers.
That largely disconnected rambling from Trump isn't even news anymore. "Bonkers" behavior and talk is normal for Trump. I wonder if he will sue them for editing his responses to try to make him seem competent.

Where's the "bonkers" part?

Your assertion is that a dozen or so indigenous people were questioned by ICE, a few of them detained for a short amount of time, three months ago, is proof that Trump is engaging in ethnic cleansing.
Just thought you'd have more you help us understand what your hanging your hat on.
Nah. Don't bother Beerman. "Ethnic cleansing ", " genocide".....etc have lost all of its significant meaning. Other than the hard to hide disappointment that Trump has done none of the above. Just maybe, if they hope hard enough, they can prove Trump is a "Nazi, dictator, who wants "ethnic cleansing", "forced pregnancy camps", and "concentration camps"....

He repeatedly answers with nonsequiturs, he seems not to understand the directive from SCOTUS to return Abrego Garcia to undergo due process, he can't provide any proof that he has made any of the 200 trade deals he claims, can't admit that any of the Jan 6 defenders committed any violent crimes, claims Biden didn't give an interview to TIME and then claims he read the interview that Biden gave to TIME. He seems to have a fixation on old ladies getting hit with baseball bats and people getting pushed into the subway. And that these people are convicted 20 times. He seemed unaware that there was a portrait of John Adams hanging on the wall behind him, after he had just shown it to the interviewers.

What this administration is doing has nothing to do with immigration enforcement. It's ethnic cleansing, pure and simple.

If due process isn't required to detain someone or put them in a detention camp or prison, then anyone could be detained.
...and that's what scary. In the previous article you posted the writer suggested even if you receive an erroneous deportation email or letter, take it immediately to immigration officials even if you are a US Citizen.
>>>This part is for Crusades: "and that is why I said I would carry my passport if I received the email"...

Democrats have an affinity of elevating and idolizing criminals. Using them as the moral higher ground. It's hilarious. Except for the pons I guess.
Does this mean they have moved away from exploiting the holocaust victims by calling everyone Nazis? Nah. Doubt it.
George Floyd's death, was an extreme case of police brutality. It was the equivalent of a modern day lynching where a white man thought he could publicly murder someone in clear view in plain sight who was no longer resisting arrest and for that matter couldn't breathe.
It's not about idolizing a criminal, btw, look up idolizing. This is and was about a Civil Right's Issue and The People, standing up for Justice.
Did you say exploiting the Holocaust victims? I'm probably going to stop responding to you. Not that you care, and it's a bit of a shame because there is something great to learn in discourse and other's opinions but yours seem to sully other's POV, and purposefully inflame stereotypes and blatant disrespect.
Maybe you don't intend to, maybe you do. All in all, Be well.

You know when I first read this a couple of years ago, I couldn't stop reading it. It was some time after I had finished seeing The Pianist, so my emotions were so raw. Reading this I felt such a terrible pain in my heart, and I truly had tears. I remember having to remind myself to breathe.
I recently saw this posted on social and now on here, I have chills. Thank you for posting this and I hope that we can all come together to make some sense of what is happening.

Once again, this is a short-form forum. I have to edit.
Here's the thing I agree that the harassment of indigenous people by ICE is not, by itself, proof of anything. It IS a data point which, in turn, is part of a trend going back to the beginning of the European invasion. There are many, many such data points over centuries of European occupation.
Trump's racism has been documented at least back to the 70s. I also remember a campaign speech in which he promised to be 'retribution". He never met a contract or a promise he wouldn't break to serve his self-interest. With the likes of Steven Miller and the alt. right boys at his elbow, he's very likely to embrace the concept of ethnic cleansing.
50 years of nursing have taught me to pay attention to the little stuff. It could be a one-off, the start of a trend, or actual clinical pathology.
