I'm curious as to how you equate that to ethnic cleansing?
Those folks were detained because ICE refused to recognize tribal id as proof of citizenship. This is likely because the administration denies that indigenous people are citizens. They base this on a law passed 2 years before the 14th amendment was ratified. The law specifically excludes Indians from citizenship.
The administration's attack on birthright citizenship (scheduled to be heard by SCOTUS in May) asserts that, since Indians born on land their ancestors occupied for millennia are explicitly excluded, then children born to one or both foreign parents have even less claim to citizenship. Therefore, birthright citizenship is invalid. (The logic escapes me, but that's maga for you). If SCOTUS buys this dreck, then indigenous could be confined to their sovereign territories (reservations, aka ghettos) or expelled from the country altogether, all on a whim.
Now consider this in the context of the ongoing attempted genocide that started at the beginning of the European invasion. Can you see how those detentions can be construed as part of that genocide? It's about protecting the European majority from being outnumbered (aka white supremacy).
Did you know that there is evidence that hitler studied the American strategies for dealing with indigenous tribes? It has been reported that he was quite impressed. It is speculated that it helped inspire his final solution.
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me.

And you could add in "The Hispanics," or "The Native Indians," or "The Asians" or anyone you disapprove of.
This is not new.

Agreed. It's not new, it's canon.

Wow. A lot of unsubstantiated "facts" you're using to back up your speculations.
Let me make this easy and save us all a lot of time. Here is the verbiage from the executive order:
"Subsection (a) of this section shall apply only to persons who are born within the United States after 30 days from the date of this order."

Hey, if you want to disregard historical context, that's your privilege. If you want to play dueling citations, go to a library. You asked me to explain my thinking. I answered as best I could in a short-form forum like AN. If you want to hang your hat on a statement from the Liar-in-Chief's organization, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

This has nothing to do with me hanging my hat on anything.
Your assertion is that a dozen or so indigenous people were questioned by ICE, a few of them detained for a short amount of time, three months ago, is proof that Trump is engaging in ethnic cleansing.
Just thought you'd have more you help us understand what your hanging your hat on.

I certainly wouldn't take any thing at face value from Trump or his administration. That's no surprise.
It's also no surprise that China was not shy about directly contradicting Trump and his sychophant's when they talk about the trade talks. China says there are no talks. Should we believe what Trump says or writes regardless of his history of lying as a habit?
https://apnews.com/article/china-us-tariff-negotiations-trump-481ff4402f5c34776ffcb8ced4c8ae42
QuoteChina on Thursday denied any suggestion that it was in active negotiations with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump over tariffs, saying that any notion of progress in the matter was as groundless as "trying to catch the wind.”
China's comments come after Trump said Tuesday that things were going "fine with China" and that the final tariff rate on Chinese exports would come down "substantially" from the current 145%.
Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry, said during a daily briefing on Thursday that, "For all I know, China and the U.S. are not having any consultation or negotiation on tariffs, still less reaching a deal.”

America is in a crisis right now with the invasion of illegal aliens. 20 million illegals estimated by many reports to be in this nation. Do these treasonous Anti-Americans realize how large of a number that is? If we are working to get 20 million criminals out of this nation there are going to be some hiccups along the way.

That's a great point. The deflection to the rare and inconsequential missteps by Trump on this issue is an attempt to have us all forget the mess Biden and the Dempcrats purposely created.
Trump making up stuff again, this time about the price of eggs dropping. I was hoping it was true that eggs came down. I'm doing on a low fiber diet tomorrow for a procedure and was going to buy a dozen at 93% 94% less. Damn
QuoteSeveral times over the last week, President Donald Trump has assured Americans that the prices of eggs and gasoline are down significantly. But he has made false claims about the cost of both products.
"Prices are going down, not going up,” Trump said in Oval Office remarks on April 22, for example. "I see that we had a couple of states where gasoline was at $1.98 a gallon. Nobody thought they'd see that for years maybe.”
Later in his remarks, he said, "And as you know, the cost of eggs has come down like 93%, 94% since we took office, and they're pretty much normally priced now.”
As of March, the most recent data available, the average retail price of eggs was up, not down. And there are no states where the price of gasoline has dipped below $2. The national average is $3.11.
Here are the facts.

QuoteRupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so. This "pollster" has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years. Also, and while he's at it, he should start making changes at the China Loving Wall Street Journal. It sucks!
Trump's Truth Social post recently.
Rumor is he's angry at them publishing a poll on his first 100 days.
QuoteAs President Donald Trump approaches the 100th day of his second term, a Fox News survey finds voters pleased with the job he is doing on border security, but displeased on most other issues — including inflation.
Trump receives his best marks on border security, as a 55% majority approves. That's the only issue where his ratings are in positive territory. On immigration, a record high of 47% approve of Trump (48% disapprove), while a new low of 38% approve on the economy (56% disapprove). His worst ratings are on inflation (33% approve, 59% disapprove), followed by tariffs (33%-58%), foreign policy (40%-54%), taxes (38%-53%), and guns (41%-44%).

Worth a listen.
Trump says they're foreign gang members. Are they?
