Has anyone here ever had to show their license plate to vote?

No.  Owning a vehicle isn't necessary to vote here in FL, but having an ID is necessary. Always has been in the 33 years I lived here and it's not a controversy.

The president said today he was asked to present his license plate to vote, so I was wondering where that was in practice.
I've had to show ID and proof of residence to register. I've never had to show IS to vote in Washington of Idaho. A signature in the register book was all that was required.

Trump today when asked about voter ID laws misspoke and said license plate when he meant to say driver's license.

Are you glad you gave time to the question?

So not a sign of cognitive decline then, just a simple "misspoke".

Well as we are all supposed to have some medical training aren't you looking out for signs of failing faculties in your dear leader?

I suppose by "Driver's License" he meant ID because not everyone drives, such as people in New York City.

I knew it was a sarcastic question and my answer was to say having a picture ID to vote isn't an issue with me.

It appears that some aren't looking for the increasing evidence that Trump is mentally ill and suffering cognitive decline, doesn't it?   They are too busy looking at the cognitive health of any and all who criticize Trump or his merry band of incompetent sychophants. There's even a fabricated diagnosis that they can joke about.  That leaves little time to consider the actual crazy behavior and mumbo-jumbo that emanates from the Trump Oval.  I think the gold leafing in the room is probably a symptom of his crazy.

This entire event is an embarrassment to my country.  Trump is clearly delusional.  He rambles around a statement that is full of blustery baloney. All of a sudden, after rushing to Alaska, at Putin's back and call, Trump returns to DC full of Russian rhetoric and propaganda and insisting that a cease fire isn't part of his Trumpian plans for peace.  How can anyone look at this man's public appearances and not see his deteriorating condition?

Sure, not recognizing the leader of Finland who is right in front of you and repeatedly lying about ending 6 wars in 6 months is just misspeaking, too.
His brain is mush. All he cares about is getting awards and accolades.

His brain being mush?  Not much talk of that except on the far lefty websites.

Here is what the leader of Finland had to say about the meeting:

You seem bothered that Trump might be successful in brokering a deal?

Inability to see Trump's obvious disqualifying character flaws, cognitive challenges, and incompetence is the real Trump Derangement Syndrome.  It perfectly describes what it takes to be repeatedly conned by a well known fraud.

What is reported in that CNN clip isn't really evidence that Trump is brokering anything. The clip said that agreements were made and Trump repeated the agreements to Zelensky. Then Trump called Putin and related all of that to Putin and floated the idea of the Putin/Zelensky meeting as it was agreed he would.  Trump seems like an intermediary as much as a broker.  An embarrassing amount of what Trump said was nonsense or bluster or irrelevant. The European leaders were there not because Trump wanted them there but because that was the only way Zelensky would come to DC. Zelensky played some cards that Trump gave him.

I am bothered that Trump is kowtowing to Putin. Pushing Ukraine to concede to Putin's wishes does not look like success to me. No matter how many times Trump says it, Ukraine did not start this war and they are not the aggressors.
