So federal employees told to justify jobs in email - 5 bullet points re what work they did last week + get them in before midnight this Monday or Musk says they face dismissal. So who at [email protected] gonna be reading the emails from 2 million federal workers, who makes determination that bullet points insufficient or don't meet job description? Inquiring minds want to know.
Executive Government 2/22/25
QuoteFederal employees throughout the executive branch began receiving emails on Saturday asking them to explain what they accomplished in the last week, which followed a threat from Elon Musk that workers who do not respond would be considered to have resigned.
The subject of the email, which came from the same [email protected] email address that recently sent offers for federal employees to accept deferred resignations, asked employees "what did you do last week?”
"Please reply to this email with approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished last week and cc your manager,” the email said. "Please do not send any classified information, links or attachments.”
Employees were given a deadline of Monday at 11:59 p.m. ET to respond.
Musk warned the emails were coming Saturday afternoon, which included the resignation threat and suggested they were issued at President Trump's direction. Several CEOs at technology companies have deployed similar strategies in recent years.
"Once again, Elon Musk and the Trump Administration have shown their utter disdain for federal employees and the critical services they provide to the American people,” said American Federation of Government Employees President Everett Kelley. "It is cruel and disrespectful to hundreds of thousands of veterans who are wearing their second uniform in the civil service to be forced to justify their job duties to this out-of-touch, privileged, unelected billionaire who has never performed one single hour of honest public service in his life.”...

Trump administration asks all feds to justify their jobs or risk losing them
My veteran friend in LA received this email. He messaged his active duty supervisor to see if he needed to go in to work and work on the requirements from the email. He then asked if the government was going to pay him overtime for going in to do this thing for Musk.

QuoteAluminum producer Alcoa said on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump's plan to impose a tariff on aluminum imports could cost about 100,000 U.S. jobs and would itself not be enough to entice it to boost production in the country.
Trump earlier this month said he would impose a flat 25% tariff on aluminum imports "without exceptions or exemptions" in a bid to lift US production of the metal used to make automobiles, cans and other products.
The tariff takes effect on March 4.
They need cheaper energy. Trump addressed energy in a couple of his EOs so costs will come down. It doesn't sound like that optimism is shared.

Remember, all Trump wants is to save lives even if it means doing it the Russian way. He's all about peace.
He's getting widespread support from Republicans (and Russia) who appreciate his America First and get tough stance which isn't bullying in their eyes.
Even former Ukraine supporter Lindsey Graham is doing an about face and sucking up to Trump's new stance in making Ukraine the bad guy for taking our money and not wanting peace.
They know they have Ukraine by the gonads and so much have said so.
Vance was an embarrassment. "Have you even said thank you?". Really?

This was disgusting and shameful. Zelenskyy was set up to be humiliated and portrayed as the ungrateful street urchin who doesn't wear a suit. When I heard he was coming, I wondered if it was a set up, and unfortunately I was right.
This video is commentary from The Bulwark, a conservative media group founded by ex-Republicans. Be forewarned, the language is a little spicy, but I think it's right on.
Watching Mardi Gras Muses parade to restore my sanity after Trump keeping Zelensky out of Putin meetings, VP Vance setup today "Zelensky agressor" per Trump. Never thought I'd see us side with Russia who started invading Ukraine Crimea in 2014---remained in Ukraine throughout Trump 1st Presidency. Trump still holding grudge from first impeachment and Russia Russia.
NOT a hoax per Senate Intel Committee 2020 report --Rubio was Chairman
COMMITTEE SENSITIVE - RUSSIA INVESTIGATION ONLY
Quote(U) FINDINGS
(U) The Committee found that the Russian government engaged in an aggressive, multi-faceted effort to influence, or attempt to influence, the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Parts of this effort are outlined in the Committee's earlier volumes on election security, social media, the Obama Administration's response to the threat, and the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA).(U) The fifth and final volume focuses on the counterintelligence threat, outlining a wide range of Russian efforts to influence the Trump Campaign and the 2016 election. In this volume the Committee lays out its findings in detail by looking at many aspects of the counterintelligence threat posed by the Russian influence operation. For example, the Committee examined Paul Manafort' s connections to Russian influence actors and the FBI' s treatment of reporting produced by Christopher Steele. While the Committee does not describe the final result as a complete picture, this volume provides the most comprehensive description to date of Russia's activities and the threat they posed. This volume presents this information in
topical sections in order to address coherently and in detail the wide variety of Russian actions....
U) The Committee was unable to reliably determine why Manafort shared sensitive internal polling data or Campaign strategy with Kilimnik. Manafort and Gates both claimed that it was part of an effort to resolve past business disputes and obtain new work with their past Russian and Ukrainian clients by showcasing Manafort's success.

Just goes to show TRUMP has never read OR accepted this report --that his current SECRETARY OF STATE, then Senator Rubio released during his FIRST presidency.
Agree with NY Pitchbot and Tom Friedmans comments:
QuoteVolodymyr Zelensky's Oval Office visit ended early when Donald Trump and JD Vance began angrily yelling at him. Here's why women like Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton are too emotional to be president.

QuoteThis Never Happened With an American President Before
Tom Friedman
In a major war in Europe, our president clearly sided with the aggressor, the dictator and the invader against the democrat, the freedom fighter and the invaded....
My fellow Americans, we are in completely uncharted waters, led by a president, who — well, I cannot believe he is a Russian agent, but he sure plays one on TV.

Sure looks like Trump is putting unqualified and weak people in change of our institutions.
