"We do not see any particular new elements here," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Russian media Thursday. Peskov added that Trump "liked sanctions" and used them often during his first presidential term.

"Russia is ready for an equal and careful dialogue with the United States, which we had during Trump's first term," Peskov said, according to Russian independent media outlet Meduza. "We are waiting for signals that have not yet been received."

That's interesting.  It seems like the old ideas aren't making the sort of impression that Trump wants.

Interestingly, since the sermon the bishop has received death threats and Trump has demanded an apology. He took the Christ-like plea for mercy as an insult? Who does that? 

What about the way the deeply Christian JD was staring the bishop down?  How about that, huh? Do you suppose he was more annoyed by the message or by the fact that a woman was delivering it from that particularly disputed position? There's so much to unpack.

I would feel that considering Biden pardoned his family and gave preemptive pardons to several officials that this argument has no weight. 

Many of the more severe offenders were commuted not pardoned.  I'm sure you knew that though. 

The Bidhop overstepped her boundaries and decided to make a political statement instead of performing the blessings. Very unprofessional and in bad taste. A moment of narcissist behavior. Which leads me to believe her service is self centered and not towards thr faith. She serves herself, not Jesus. 

You seem pleased there wasn't allot of people at his inauguration and found it funny.

Quote her words which are leftist fear mongering rhetoric if you can.  It all sounded pretty Biblical to me.  Did you know that one of the most common ways that the Christ was described was having to do with compassion? He saw and had compassion.  He listened and had compassion, etc. Compassion leads to mercy.  

That service was all about prayer.  They prayed for the president and other leaders.  They prayed for the people.  They prayed for the nation.  They sang hymns and the national anthem.

The manner in which h she did it, yes.

No reason for transgenders to fear for their lives because Trump is president or for legal immigrants to fear Trump.  So, no reason ask for mercy of behalf of those specific groups but to imply as such.

I think saying that there are people that are fearing for their lives in the queer community is fear mongering.  She could have left out that lecture.   I have no problem with her asking him to show mercy to the queer and immigrant community.

On the other hand she could be right.  People are feeling a bit unsettled and safe because we all know from these well meaning actions about defining gender that violence happens.  Hate crimes have risen while other violent crimes have decreased.

The left is hailing her a hero on social media and she's being memed often.  I think to agree to disagree how you feel about her is what's needed because it's clearly going to be divided along party lines.

Does your thinking about her "fear mongering" mean that you think that people aren't fearing for their lives now? Are you thinking that it's unnecessary or unreasonable for people to be concerned?I'm trying to understand and I'm not certain if you are mixing sarcasm in here. 

I think anyone who will risk their own peace and safety to speak truth directly to power is a hero of sorts.  Isn't it interesting that Trump now has his Christian followers feeling offended by a biblical message on mercy and humility?
