the tech schools are sooooo expensive last i heard here in sacramento western career college is charging over $50,000 for their lvn program. community colleges are the cheapest way to go and usually have higher pass rates than the tech schools. please go to your nursing board and check out pass rates. why would you want to pay $$$$$$$ and then not be properly prepared for the nclex what a waste of money that would be. if you live in sacramento sac city college is the only ccc offering lvn (from what i know)

good luck :nurse:

Private LPN program in VA, about 12k including everything.

Specializes in Geriatrics.

$13,735 for 18-month LPN program. This is in New Hampshire. And I don't qualify for financial aid (grants, etc), because according to FAFSA, I made too much last year... ugh, yeah right.

Hopefully I'll get federal loans!!

1* what's the overall cost of your program?

3395=includes everything, registration fees, books, uniforms, supplies and even testing and license fees. i was lucky to apply to this program and get in. i actually had applied to a private for profit school and after financial aid would have to get a 20k student loan. i decided not to do it and apply for this program at an adult school, although it was very competitive, about 400 students started the application process with a test, only 120 passed and submitted application and went for an interview, finally only 60 students were selected for the class. i'm glad i tried another place, and although the private school started the class in march i start this program in october 2010, which is a 12 month program as well. i will finish a couple months later but without that 20k loan, glad i did it and got in!

2* if u qualify for financial aid than what's the remaining

amount that u have to pay overall? i have financial aid that will be paying for it bt a pell grant for 2000, i applied for wia, workforce investment, but waiting for a response, but at the most i'll pay out of pocket is 1500.

3* what school r-u-goin' to?

visalia adult school

4* where's your school located?

california

just a note: the lvn program cost varies in california, you need to shop around and look for prices, just as there was a 30k program at a private school for lvn, and a 3500 at a public adult school in the same city there are different prices in california. i don't necessarily believe that california is the most expensive. prices vary significantly and can be as costly in other states across the country, you just need to spend the time and look for cheaper prices. i'm glad i did and i saved my self a ton of money! we actually have many adults schools in our area that have cheaper lvn programs, which also vary in price from 2500, 8000, one is actually free, but of course has a very long waiting list!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's in fresno, ca adult school!!! adult schools are more competitive since many people want to get in and apply but you still stand a chance of getting in, just as i did.
