side note(s):

this school has up to date curriculum, it is an established school with a brand new nursing simulation lab strictly for the pn students. best of all the faculty will always help and answer any questions you may have.

words of advice, don't go to any nursing school with an attitude upfront already for the teachers, don't get involved in classroom drama which can cause you to fall back on your studying, read all of your chapters over your 3 days off for the upcoming week based on your syllabus but all and all, you just have to have the drive to just flat out focus on what is needed to get past all of it.

no nursing program is a walk in the park.

started june 14th 2010, expected graduation july 2011. :nurse:

thanks, i looked into a private loan but after talking with a couple of different servicers it was apparent to me that since my school did not offer loans the private servicers weren't going to either.

the private servicers did offer me a credit card with 12.9% :mad:

the lvn program im attending is in california (bay area) a community college.. it cost $1521.00 this includes: parking permit per semester,licensure at the end of the program, back round/drug test, labkits,books,uniforms,stethescope,watch with a second hand, lab coat,physical examination,immunizations.. im so excited to be starting i have already started on my fundemental of nursing book!!! how much do i have left to pay 0 my husband is footing the bill..

Yeah California schools are VERY EXPENSIVE. Its liek u are paying for your education. One school was 20,000 dollars. Since I live alone and is a single mother I had to go back to school on my own. I choose a private school. Instead of becoming a Medical Assistant I wish I would have went to LPN school. I would have had the time and the money to go to one of these less expensive school, BUT now I have to choose something that convient for me.

I pay $30,000. ( I am so happy I seen other ppl that has this amount or more. I thought it was just me)

I got $5,000 in federal grant, and $6,000 in pell grant

I get $500.00 from them'

I am paying $300.00 monthly while I am in school, and have 2 loads for $4,000

Im going to look into Cal grants this year. I heard alot of good things about that

[color=#ffa500]$12,000 plus uniforms, books, malpractice insurance, and physical

2* if u qualify for financial aid than what's the remaining

amount that u have to pay overall?

[color=#ffa500]i recieve a full pell grant it is about $5000 per year. ( i only recieve the full amount because i am attending a full time ccc in addition to my part time lvn program) i use half of tho money for the lvn program and the rest for bills, books,etc. if you live in california there are scholarships that will help you pay.

3* what school r-u-goin' to?

[color=#ffa500]twin rivers adult school

4* where's your school located?

sacramento, ca

the tech schools are sooooo expensive last i heard here in sacramento western career college is charging over $50,000 for their lvn program. community colleges are the cheapest way to go and usually have higher pass rates than the tech schools. please go to your nursing board and check out pass rates. why would you want to pay $$$$$$$ and then not be properly prepared for the nclex what a waste of money that would be. if you live in sacramento sac city college is the only ccc offering lvn (from what i know)

good luck :nurse:

Hi Happiiz,

I am about to graduate in a week yay... and I gotta say it has been a ton of work, Although it is a part time program you still have to study like it is full time. The school is going through some major changes right now with all the budget cuts. The principal want to make the school full time with two classes entering per yer kinda like Charles A Jones, however the director of nursing is fighting this. CAJ pass rates are AWFUL and Twin rivers had a 100% pass rate this year. Why fix something that isn't broken. So with that said take your prereqs and by the time you are done they should have it figured out if the program will remain the same or if they will be changing it.

where is that school? im in florida currently attending Saber, put is 24,000
