  1. I did not have to take TEAS, I applied to the lpn to rn program. My gpa was 4.0 and I tool all other classes.
  2. Me too I got accepted to lpn to rn program!! Congrats 4thGenRN!!
  3. Hello everyone I just sent in my application for the LPN to RN program. The waiting is killing me... I would spend lots of time preparing TEAS and give yourself an extra time; you could only retake it after one month, so do it well before the applicatin due date. I also did hear about last year's nursing acceptance rate. Since many others are confirming it, I guess it is true. I know a lot of my science classmates were applying for the RN program but I wonder if anyone is applying for the LPN to RN route. Well, good luck everyone
  4. Hi nicolelee Could you tell me how the schedule is like? Is it pretty flexible like you would expect from other colleges or set schedule? I am currently in lpn program with 8-2 mon-thur schedule and it is kinda hard sometimes.. It would definitely help me big time to make up my mind!!! Thanx in advance!!! :)
  5. Hi, I, too, was looking into that school for this July. Now, many months have passed.. do you still like it? Would you recommend the program? I didn't know if they would have flexible schedule and if it would be worth going with that amount of tuition.. But if the program is really helpful, I am willing. So plz give me some more info.. Thanks
  6. I wasn't planning to go to school so I bought a puppy in january. I started school in July and Don't Do It!!! I was new to the area, so I bought the puppy compulsively so I would have my 'small family support' n look forward to come home to. When my boyfriend tried to talk to me out of it, I didn't listen. Now I have my puppy, with help from my boyfriend, and my mom who moved to the area, its still too much with school and work. I try to spend almost all the spare time I have with her (sometimes I sacrifice my time with boyfriend) but it is not the same. The dog should not suffer like that just because we are lonely. My dog is hardly ever by herself, but I still feel bad. It is nice to have a dog, but I would wait for at least a semester so you would know how much time you would have for the dog..
  7. I'm starting mine next month at standard healthcare in falls church. When I looked up, there were few schools in nova area. Check out the virginia board of nursing website.
  8. Private LPN program in VA, about 12k including everything.
  9. Hello, I am 23 yr old and want to go to nursing school in Northern Virginia. My original plan was to go to nvcc(local community college), finish pre-req, be on the waiting list, and get into the program. But it seems it's gonna take 3+ years and it's holding my back because I have to support myself. On the other hand, I could go to private lpn school on Mon-Thur, work on the weekends. After I graduate, I could work as a LPN and go back to school for RN. As I was considering, I leaned more toward the second option. But my friend in California (who works as LVN and going to school for RN) called me and told me not to go to private LPN school because a lot of LVNs are out of jobs in her area. Please give me some advice because this is a really important decision for me and since I am new to the area, I lack in information. Thanks, gee gee PS: and also, would anybody let me know good LPN program in Virginia?
  10. I am sorry to hear this. Time is tough these days, but we will make it!! Hope for the best for you!!!
