I work for the US Army and they don't - some nurses and techs/medics have full sleeves to the wrist. You can't see it when they're in uniform, but when they're in scrubs you certainly can. A lot of people here also have them on the nape of the neck and one here (fairly high-ranking enlisted) has a big one on the side of his neck that you can see even in ACU's.

No, although all 4 of mine are in spots where my scrubs cover them..I'm thinking of a fifth one on the nape of my neck(a small one).

Nope, as along as their not offensive, they can hang out. Really..who doesnt have a tattoo nowadays? :D LOL. (yes i know the next 25 posts will be from people stating they dont have a tattoo.)
