Greetings all: Allnurses.com is such a great resource for many of us.
Does anybody want to impart words of wisdom here? Here's mine:
If you need to vent, do so with friends outside of work. Any complaints are bound to get back to the offending party - this is not good. A plus side of venting to friends outside of work is that the incident may, in fact, contain some humor in retrospect, and it will save a lot of face at work. So next time you see the offending party at work, you can smile to yourself and not add to the bad vibes this person has thrown out to you.

"Serenity now, insanity later" My new mantra-I'll repeat this several times as I concentrate on my breathing-(in through the nose for 2 counts and out through the mouth for 4 counts) It really does calm and center me....
Wouldn't it be nice if we all did this?

My mantra:
"**Eventually** the shift will end"
(was especially helpful last week with full moon, lunar eclipse, thunderstorms and a floor full of dementia patients) Works well when you're snowed in, too.
