Viola is a string instrument similar to a violin, but a little larger. Silly nurse!

Violas are part of the string quartet that plays in the lobby of the well-to-do cosmetic surgery centers to calm the patients before they get their bill for a cash only industry

Specializes in Critical care.

SNL skit anyone? I always thought we should talk to Colonel Angus about those cunning linguists.

Adding to the list: "med surge"

A surge of meds?

If describing a type of nursing unit commonly found in hospitals, let's stick to med-surg. No "e". A shortened version of "medical-surgical".

You don't even want to know what I was forced to read today.

But for those who were not aware, an abbreviation obsessed coworker has decided P&P (or n-P-n-P depending on the day ) no longer means policies and procedures but "in place and patent". Who knew?

Also chemical structures as we know it now have changed as hydrogen peroxide is no longer H2O2 but now C2O2.

From all nurses...

IVC is not inferior vena cava but the controversial intravenous vitamin C (which will cure influenza and the common cold in 7-9 minutes) and ACV is the cure all apple cider vinegar.

Premium salaries are paid to those who preceptorate. Oh and counselor is now spelled counscillor.
