Who else is starting Nursing School in January?

Just checking in ealry to see who else is as anxious as I am to start in January. If you are still awaiting your acceptance letter, I know the feeling and I am sure it will arrive soon. So who else is starting in January?

I'll be joining you all who are starting nursing school in January! My orientation is next week. Now I have to come up with the money to pay for all my supplies. It's kind-of silly but I get excited thinking about buying a uniform and stethoscope! I am just excited to finally be in this moment.

I don't know that I can officially post here yet. I got my orientation info in the mail today (Nov. 14) and I'm supposed to register then, but I'm technically on the alternate list. The admissions coordinator told me a few weeks ago that they may be expanding the program with another 24 seats. If so, I'm in. I really don't think he would have told me that if it wasn't pretty much a done deal, you think?

I'm also debating on whether to accept an Earn As You Learn scholorship from a local hospital. They would also start me in nursing school in January. I'm not comfortable with the 2 year work commitment in med/surg after graduation. I'm also not comfortable that this hospital only works 8 hr shifts in their med/surg. I'm leaning towards turning them down. (DH will not be happy about that.)

So one way or another I THINK I'm starting nursing school in January....unless at last I minute decide to go for dental hygiene in May. I'm so confused. Too many decisions.:confused:

I start in January for the ADN program. My orientation is in a few days. I'm so excited and can't wait to get started! Congratulations to everyone who got their acceptance letter. :balloons: :rotfl:

I'm starting in January. I believe January 6th is the first day of classes. I got my acceptance letter in October and I'm almost finished with all the post-acceptance things I have to do. I took my placement test today, took my CPR classes last Wednesday, and now all I need to do is get a physical and register for classes.

I'm very scared, but excited. I absolutely have to work full time while I'm in school so the thought of working and going to school full time is kind of stressful, especially since it will cut down or eliminate my running time.

I am starting school 6th of January. We have 4 semesters, 2 summers off in between. We have orientation on the 18th of November and have to do CPR, background check, immunizations. We got a list of books we need and I will be looking for some good deals on that.

I am so excited :)

I'm in the class of 'awaiting acceptance letter' myself. What bothers me is, we don't know if we got in until the middle of December?!?! You gotta be kidding me. Christmas will suck if I don't get accepted....

I AM!!!! I can't wait. I just hope that this web site helps me out with the different things that clinicals and lectures bring up. Hope you do really well. Tampa wishes you GOOD LUCK!!!
