  1. I've got one: III (three)...and yes that's his name, not nickname. Poor kid! Makes you think back to that commercial of the egg in the frying pan (this is your brain on drugs) LOL!
  2. University of Texas at Tyler here....graduate Dec 07:monkeydance:
  3. wohoo! i got my letter...i got my letter i finally got my letter! count me in... orientation on Jan 9th...classes start on Jan 11th :roll :roll Shawna
  4. I've got 3 kids - a 10 yr old, a 6 yr old and a 2 yr old, go to school full time and also work 30-35 hours per week. I study every moment I get - nap time, in the floor of the bathroom while the kids are splashing away! :wink2: , While I'm cooking dinner, you name it...if the kids are playing and happy, mom's got her head in the books. Hubby is a big help too, especially on evenings when I'm working! Repetition is very much the key. I study using lots of notecards. I can carry them around with me and have even been known to carry them in my vest pocket at work...great for break times and while waiting for the paint to finish shaking!
  5. I guess I'm just lucky...my doctor is almost more excited about it than I am and his nurse is extremely supportive too. My doctor actually finds me when he comes to my workplace and takes the time to ask how I'm doing, what I'm studying, etc. Wouldn't trade him for the world ::
  6. YEAH FOR U! CONGRATS!
  7. Don't believe it...it is very passable...just read the passage carefully. I think people make the NET out to be LOT:uhoh3: harder than it really is. Hang in there, you'll do fine. :wink2: Good Luck! Shawna
  8. We should have an answer the 1st week of November....UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! They even extended the deadline for apps due to Hurricane Rita. Anything to make us writhe in agony a little longer Shawna
  9. Have to agree there...chem is just a matter of repetition...A&P is very time intensive and OMG the memorization! Shawna
  10. I took the NET in August. It wasn't bad at all...not what I was expecting. Basic reading comp and math. My school wouldn't let me use a calculator. They say it should take about 3 hrs, but I was out of there in 1-1/2 and I did extremely well on it. It just seems to go on forever tho. The back 1/4 of it is study questions...defining your study type. I took Chem, Alg and Dev and Gen Psychs in the spring. They seemed to go well together. I took A&P 1 and 2 this summer. OH MY! Talk about fast and furious. We had a test every other day, Lab test on Tuesday, and Lecture on Thurs. I survived and pulled A's but boy was it wild! :chair: Hope this helps! Shawna
  11. I work in the Paint Dept at Lowe's. I hate it, hate it, hate it! Between freight and boneheads that put cans of paint on the top shelf without the lid on them :angryfire I can't wait to graduate!
