MI with No damage?
I'm working on cardiac care unit PRN now. I obviously need to further educate myself on MIs because I thought all MIs meant there was some kind of damage to the heart muscles. Can one have an MI eith absolutely no damage at all?

States accepting ISU...I'm posting the list here.
It is scary that so many states do not accept ISU! Geez, I can't wait to enroll in an LPN-RN/BSN program such as ISU, but I'm a little worried about ISU vs. Excelsiors BON acceptance!

New LPN, interested in/worried abour EXCELSIOR
I am NOT in cali, but I have a lot of family in CA and would consider moving in the future. ISU seems like a wonderful alternative except that there tuition seems higher then EC.

New LPN, interested in/worried abour EXCELSIOR
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do an internet based nursing program, and Excelsior seems good except that it is not accepted in CA, and 1 other state. Is it possible to take the NCLEX in one state, get licensed, then transfer your license to any state? such as CA? Thank you!

I have an interview for a PRN position. Does this mean I'd constantly be on call?

Another 'problems from the past backfiring' ?
I am finishing my pre-reqs for the nursing program at my school this semester. I just picked up the application yesterday, and read that if you have been treated for mental health problems or alcohol/drug dependency in the past 5 years this may disqualify you from the program. My mother died very unexpectedly in her early thirtys and i move out on my own. Had issues with depression and alcohol- and sought treatment. It has since been 3 years and I have my own child, and have worked hard to move forward. Is there anything I can do? Does HIPPA not protect me here?

Unaccredited?
Thanks for the input. Certainly doesn't sound like the way to go,...I am wanting to move to dallas, but nursing programs are WAYYY competitive and my GPA isn't 4.0. This is why I was looking for school around Dallas. If anyone knows of a school that isn't really competitive drop me a note! Gauge- i do plan on getting my RN-It would be my first choice actually! I am doing LPN first b/c I have type 1 diabetes, and will be loosing my health insurance before long. I need a back up plan to provide myself with insurance to pay this 600+ a month expense, I think getting my LPN is the best option as far as money goes.

Does DCCCCD offer an LPN program?
I know there RN program is next to impossible to get into, I am wondering if the requirements for LVN are just as stringent?
