I can't decide which city. I'm from Orlando, but I kinda want a change in scenery. Tampa is closer to the beach and not too far from my family. Also I'm interested in working in the NICU and Orlando has Winnie Palmer. Does anyone have any info about what its like working in Winnie Palmer? What are good hospitals to work for in Tampa? Is there a difference in salary between the two cities? Any info would be helpful...

Which city is best, Dallas or Houston? I'll be graduating in December. I would like to work in critical care. I'm young and single so I'd like to be somewhere where there's a lot to do. I love the beach so I was leaning more towards Houston since its closer to the beach. I would of course like to be in a safe area as well. Which city would benefit me more? What are some good hospitals and places to live in each city? Is the pay and cost of living the same? Any information would be helpful...Thanks.

Three finals coming up. Tues: nursing research Wed: med/surg Thurs: pharm I can't wait until its over...my poor brain! I just have to keep in mind that it's about to be over.

Thanks for all of your responses. I wanted to be near the medical center, but I was concerned that it might be too expensive. And I dont want to be so far away I'm in alot of traffic everyday. I'm going to look into the places you all suggested. Thanks again

This is so crazy. What is this world coming to. I usually say nothing suprises me, but this caught me off guard.

I decided on nursing because I didn't want to spend all those years in school and residency. I wanted to be able to start a family and enjoy life. And I wanted to be able to care for the patient on a one-on-one basis. I didn't see that happening as an MD.

Is there a shortage in the Carolinas??
