Who else is starting Nursing School in January?
I'll be joining you all who are starting nursing school in January! My orientation is next week. Now I have to come up with the money to pay for all my supplies. It's kind-of silly but I get excited thinking about buying a uniform and stethoscope! I am just excited to finally be in this moment.

"No, I don't mind waiting another MONTH!
I am in the same situation as you two. We were supposed to be contacted by the last day of the month but I was told recently that there was a processing delay. The letters may not be mailed until sometime in November. Funny how we have to apply so early yet they can take as long as needed to let us know if we're in. What's a few more weeks?!!

I am waiting for an acceptance letter too! I was originally supposed to know something by October 31, but was recently told that there was a "delay" and the letters might not go out until sometime in November. I just want to know!!!

Human Growth and Development Course
I am currently taking this course and find it pretty easy. It's not even half as intense as A&P I or II. However, there are people in my class that are barely passing and some are failing it. Maybe it's because they're right out of high school or they have poor study habits. I believe if you pay attention, take good notes, and study them before the test you can pass.

I got in!!

Dcccd 2006

Should I make a three hour drive?
Which school would you rather attend? If it's worth it to you to get to go to Univ. of Memphis then do it. If Austin Peay is just as good a choice then maybe you can sign up for the math course until you get the letter from them. I don't know about time constraints of adding/dropping a class so I know that may not be an option. There's good chance that you will be accepted at one of the other schools. Hope you get it worked out!

Any other "second career" students out there?
Hi, I too am going back to school after getting a BSBA degree in accounting. I knew long ago that I didn't/wouldn't enjoy accounting as a career. I am finally on the road to getting an ADN degree. I applied for the Spring 06 semester and am currently waiting to hear back from them. I have finished all but one course outside of nursing. I have a full time job and two children. It hasn't been as rough as had thought it would be. I'm sure once I'm in the program I will have changed my mind. Right now I'm just anxious to know if I have been accepted. I'm so excited!!!:rotfl:
