  1. For you part time workers who aren't provided health insurance through your companies where did you get insurance?
  2. Thank you! I got in to the RN program.
  3. I am going to Wallace State in Hanceville, Alabama. Those classes are considered co-reqs instead of pre-reqs at my school. Thanks everyone for your well wishes.
  4. Hey. I just got my acceptance letter from Wallace State Hanceville. I have heard nothing but good things about this school. I'm not really sure about the others. Sorry.
  5. I got my acceptance letter yesterday!! Yea! I'm so excited but really overwhelmed. I wasn't expecting to get in so soon. I was planning on taking A&P I and Micro next semester and A&P II in the summer and being ready for next fall. So now to my surprise I have to take all of that with my nursing classes.
  6. Thanks Candykane. Was it hard to get in the LPN program? Do you know how many people they accept?
  7. Congratulations and good luck! :balloons:
  8. Hi. I'm hoping to start nursing school Spring 2006. I have been applying for several unit secretary positions in my area to work while I'm starting school. Has anyone worked as a unit secretary? If so, what exactly do you do or what is a normal day like? Thanks to all who answer. :)
  9. Math is my least favorite subject and I always have a harder time comprehending math. My Descriptive Statistics class was pretty easy. I also had a great professor who really made things easy to understand. Just don't let the class intimidate you. Find some classmates to study with and you will do fine. Good luck!
  10. Hi guys. I hope everyone is having a good day. I posted this on another group...I wasn't sure exactly where to post so I decided to post it here also. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I am trying to find a job at one of the local hospitals in my area so that I can go to nursing school. I had a job interview with a hospital recruitor last week for a unit secretary position. The recruitor called me today to see if I could meet with the OR hiring manager next week. Everyone keeps telling me that I have the job and this is just a meeting to talk about benefits and other position related things. Anyone have an opinion on this? I am hoping "everyone" is right but like to see if anyone else has been through a similiar situation. Thanks in advance.
  11. Thank you for your replies. I have heard alot of good things about Wallace. I have applied to the program for the winter term. I hope that I get in. Do they like for you to have all your co-req's done before they accept you to the program?
  12. Is there anyone who attends or has attended Wallace State-Hanceville? I was looking in to going there or Jeff State. I have heard it is easier to get in to Wallace. Does anyone know if this is true?
  13. As far as I know if you have the cutoff points then they will consider you for the program. The more classes you have the better your chances are is the way I understand it.
  14. hi. i am not attending jscc yet but i have met with a nursing advisor there and plan to apply to the program for january. jeff state bases your entrance eligibility on a point system. so the more co-reqs you have and the better your grades are the better your chances for getting into the program. for example, if you have a&p i and you made an a you would get 30 points. i was also told by the advisor that there cutoff score for being eligible was 175. i hope this helps and maybe i'll see you in class. good luck!
