Who else is starting Nursing School in January?

Published

Just checking in ealry to see who else is as anxious as I am to start in January. If you are still awaiting your acceptance letter, I know the feeling and I am sure it will arrive soon. So who else is starting in January?

I am about to embark on a path from LPN to BSN, after some hard soul searching and making some difficult decisions. Expect to start in January. Does that count? :chuckle

Put me into the "awaiting the acceptance letter" club. I should know within a couple/few days...on pins and needles. If I'm in, we start in Jan. 06

As much as I want it, I am starting to get a little scared/nervous! :uhoh21:

Fear of the unknown I guess...lol

I was told that I am in, but I am waiting to see if I got in at a campus closer to home. I haven't gotten the " letter" but was told by the admissions office that I am in :)

Achoo!, the same thing happened to me. My advisor personally called me at home to tell me that I had made it in my program. The next day I received a letter saying that I had made it into the school itself but not the program. I started to cry and of course that day was a friday and it was around 6pm when I got the mail so there was no way for me to contact my advisor at the school. The whole weekend I was a mess crying. You better believe that monday I went to the school, I must have e-mailed my advisor about 10 times during the weekend hoping that she would check her mail. She called me monday morning around 8;30 to tell me to stop worrying and that I had made it in just that the letter had not been sent yet and the other letter that I received was from before they had made their decision. I was sooooo relieved and happy. I could not wait for that leter to come so I went to the school to go get a copy of it myself. My advisor said that she had never seen someone so determined. Good Luck to you. Im sure you will get into the campus you want. :)

Somewhat to my surprised, I got accepted. I'm very nervous about, though. I have a lot of questions with no one to ask. The orientation date is "to be announced".

p.s. did I mention I'm scared to death???

I'm waiting for a letter of acceptance.

Actually, I'm waiting for 6 letters.

Thaks Nathalie! Last I had heard, I was #53 and they are taking 24 at the campus of choice. Hopefully that gets whittled down to people who didn't finish pre-req's, chose not to wait, etc...at least I know I am in somewhere :)

I start in January. It's a year long LPN program.

My orientation is Nov 17th. I am very excited.

I started in August. I too was anxiously awaiting an acceptance letter of some kind, and when it finally came, I was reallu bummed to be offered a spot in the Pre Nursing program. :sniff: There were only 74 spots and over 400 applicants! Anywho, I have started, and love it. Just pre-requisite (sp?) right now, but at least I've started! Working on our LAST English paper of the semester, and I think I would like to write about Hospice Nursing. Anyone with info, please feel free to PM me. Thanks & good luck to everyone! oompa
