I'd like to know which religions will provide an exemption for the Covid Vaccination. Are exemptions also granted for all other vaccinations (like childhood required ones) or it is just for Covid? Can you get an exemption for the Flu shot too?
I am just curious and trying to understand which religions take a stand on this.
I am Covid vaccinated. My employer has given all employees, not just nurses, until end of Sept to get fully vaccinated. The flu shot is also required.

At one of my friends jobs apparently a bunch of nurses are going to pretend they are Muslim for this. I do not know Muslim teachings very well but am wondering what logic they are using.

My nephew pretends that he's Muslim for love and marriage. All of his Muslim in laws are vaccinated against covid. My nephew and his dad are the unvaccinated and politically conservative white males at the family gatherings.

So a fellow nurse works PRN at a private school as a school nurse. Every year she has to make sure the kids are up to date on vaccines. There are two religions that she has seen that has an exemption: Christian Science and one other (I cant remember). Even Scientology doesn't have a vaccine exemption. Nor does Jehovah Witnesses, Judaism, Islam, Catholicism, Christianity, etc.
So to answer your question: not very many.

I think the other one is called Easter something. They just believe in letting Gods will play out. (I read it in passing somewhere)

"politically conservative white males"??????? Has society convinced you it's okay to make implications about one groups race and political affiliation but not another? how would you feel if someone said "liberal black females" would that be any more/less discriminatory? Do you think a politically conservative white male may take offense to your statement in the same way that a liberal black female may take offense to an equivalent statement? It's two sides of the same coin.

I would agree that a biased statement would be offensive, bias being stating something that is not based in fact but instead is baselessly assumed due to someone's race, gender, political views, etc.
Statistically speaking, politically conservative white males are less likely to be vaccinated than others. If that offends conservative white males then work on making that observation incorrect.

Yeah, it's OK. I don't really care if politically conservative males might be offended by my words. They should man up.
No, it's not two sides to the same coin unless you know of some place in North America where liberal black females enjoyed authority and political power like conservative white males have. Power is the most important ingredient in racism...not skin color.

Maybe a fraction of a percent of this country? If Christian scientists forbid it, I would give those folks a pass- they are willing to die for their actual beliefs. Anybody else who with that level of commitment, and does their best to only kill others with similar beliefs also gets a pass, assuming they don't then come in wanting "everything" done.
Of course, if you want a religious exemption, you can buy one.
Religions are largely a matter of interpretation. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all have fundamentalist factions who go unvaccinated, while the dominant experts of all three are clear that this is allowed.
This is why I believe using religion as a factor makes no sense. The followers of Tucker Carlson have beliefs as deeply held, and as logical, as the poor followers of a televangalist who tithe so he can upgrade his jet.
The source of the belief is irrelevant. Some beliefs are incompatible with some jobs. If for example, you believe fires are god's will, and it is a sin to put them out, firefighter is probably not the job for you. If you believe TV personalities over healthcare experts, healthcare might not be the best job for you.

The other one is the Dutch Reformed Church!
