Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
When threads get this long, people often don't bother to read the entire thing. Wish I had a dollar for every La-a, Shithead, Lemonjello, Orangejello, and Nosmoking in this thread!
"Lyfe Bogarto"
"Spring Meadow"
"Rainbow Greeley"
Absolutely ridiculous!!!!
Randomly discussing baby names with the boy...he suggests "Rain." His last name is pronounced "Cool." Yeah, I'm naming our kid Cool, Rain. Not happenin' bud.
My friends have a "Rocky." For serious.
Had one come in through ER named Smokey. They were so impressed that I spelled it right...until the other nurse let it slip that my black Lab had the same name.
Had a baby recently by the name 'Dinky.'
Nope. Wasn't a nickname. It was his on-the-BC given name.
Apparently it's dad's real name, too.
Poor kid. He'll be teased.
My Grand father's name is Pearle (e is strong). It''s an old name.
When I found out what my birth mother was going to name me, I was never so glad to be adopted Onyx Acadia. My name is Sarah now. But I legally changed it to that from Courtney.
"Grizzly Bear" This actually happened recently. I also had a mother give her child 7 names
My grandma used to do the census when it was door to door. She told me about a lady who named her daughter Female. Pronounced "Phimalay." When asked where she got that name she replied, "The doctor gave it to her when she was born."
Recently I had a baby named Astryx who had big brother Spyder at home.
I have seen a baby named "Cash Money" first and middle name. No joke.
