  1. Hello all just to give hope I was #7 on wait list for 116 and got accepted, I also know of people further down that got accepted into my class! Don't give up!! There is hope!!!
  2. I applied to 3, accepted to all 3 and took my first choice!
  3. I agree it seems very wordy, especially in the beginning.
  4. I think there's a lot of difference in a male OB and a male nurse/student. Nurses do much more with hands on care for the woman throughout labor and post partum. A few main areas being pericare and breast feeding assistance. Unfortunately it's different and the reservations are there. Sorry male students this hurdle is probably here to stay.
  5. Hello all. I am just hunting good advice, words of wisdom with going to school part-time for FNP and working 32hrs/week with husband and 3 year old son! I know it will be hard but would like to hear about successes, pitfalls, tips, words of wisdom, encouragement etc! Thanks to all who respond!!
  6. What program are you in?
  7. Any news for those that were waiting?
  8. I am starting NP school this fall and was thinking about getting an iPad mini during no tax weekend. My question is how much do you actually use the iPad for coursework before clinicals? I am just contemplating if I need to go ahead and purchase or if I should wait as they may release a new version of the mini next year. Thanks for any input!
  9. Yes they will in a day or two. Then you can access everything ! Congrats!!
  10. The guidelines per AWHONN that our hospital tries to follow when staffing allows are: 1:1 labor (especially transition) 1:3 m/b couplets This also changes based on acuity.
  11. I know fnphopeful it truly is!! It was so hard waiting! I think you have a good chance! Good luck!!
  12. My Heath assessment class was 3 credit hours at East Tennessee state university. Good luck!
  13. I remember asking this before I applied. She said you have to pay out of pocket for that and BT 101 but most students then "pay themselves back" with student loans.
  14. Heather33!! Yay!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!! It's best a roller coaster ride huh!! See you at Frontier Bound!!!!
