  1. What class are you starting with? I'm in advanced health assessment. 90clinical hours
  2. I thought they only afford for fall start date... Not sure about post master. I'm a returning student, had to take a leave.... So I'm starting with Avance health assessment and clinical
  3. Recieved d mine too í ½í¸€
  4. When I applied the first go round we found out mid June. I remember seeing something on the web site saying June as well
  5. You're not going to find a 2/2 in a safe area inside the 610 loop...1/1 go for over 1200
  6. I'm going to straight weekend nights to make time. Blessed to have found a unit the pays extra hours for the weekend gig
  7. There are quite a few rn to paramedic programs in the Houston and greater area. As for cct, once ur hired as a flight nurse you will most likely be required to obtain your CFRN. So save the time, money and study time and focus on the CFRN.
  8. Cvicu in a large heart hospital if possible. The majority of flight services love that.
  9. Bum inspection to far? Nope. Too many idiots pushing the limits, now the rest must suffer. Fyi in patient care settings in hospitals nurses are forbid nail polish or shalack if involved in direct pt care...
  10. In Houston, the Texas medical center won't take adn. Nursing home, sniff ect will. Smaller hospitals in the suburbs will but not necessarily in the acute care areas
  11. Ditto to fltrn70..the same in my program. Also throwing into consideration scene safety. For the majority of scene flights we stay running meaning the pilot stays inside. Exterior safety, crowds, police, fire and any other idiot who tries to run into the tail rotor is our responsibility since the pilots are inside. If we feel the scene is too uncontrolled or chaotic we can radio for a shut down on our decision.
  12. Back in the day, my two year program gave me a warning because my smock was "wrinkled". It was wrinkled in the back from driving into clinical. Needless to say I found a coat Hanger for the next ride. The trick is to lay low and not make waves in school. Is it really worth the chance of losing your spot (which there are hundreds of others dying to take) to prove a point that you will undoubtly lose? Btw I'm not old, only 32 & trendy my self, but dialed it back for school
  13. FNP 1) Texas a & m Corpus Christi PT 3 years 2) Texas tech PT 3 years Slightly more than Tamucc but
  14. Did my BSN at tech. Rejected from tech for fnp. Got into Tamucc for fnp. The program are extremely similar in the form of discussion boards and papers. Tech required 3 or 4 school visits. TAMUCC requires 1, not counting orientation.
