  1. I actually am just starting my application. I've got a lot to do! Are you applying to 155 or 157?
  2. Hi there! I am applying to the CNM bc I want to have the option to do deliveries. Nervous about getting accepted! I might proceed to get the WHNP after my CNM is completed.
  3. Anyone out there applying to this class?
  4. Recommendations are definitely a pain to get, especially if you apply to more than one program and keep having to ask the same people. For simmons, I got one from my manager, one from an old charge nurse of mine that is now a DNP and a ACNP that I worked with in critical care. Before I submitted, she asked that I get an academic recommendation since I had taken toe prior master's courses. I then emailed the professors from the courses and was able to have them write one for me, which was super nice because those were online courses. Just start brainstorming and it will come! You probably know more potential references than you think! Good luck!! :)
  5. RNforkidz, keep your head up! I know the feeling...I was denied three different times when applying to an NP program. I have a great GPA, lots of different experience, and strong recommendations...so needless to say, I was shocked and very frustrated! Finally got in this year! Just be persistent and it will eventually pay off! :) good luck!
  6. Maryville is a non-profit school, however, I do hear of a lot getting accepted.
  7. I just got my acceptance call and will be starting September 15th, as well! Very excited! After 7 years as an RN, I'm ready!! Let's get this done! :)
  8. Does anyone know the cost of the two credit bio bridge course?
  9. I am applying for the fall start as well. Waiting for one more rec letter to be submitted.
  10. I am also applying to Simmons for the fall September 2014 start. Any advise for the personal statement?
  11. No they do not find you preceptors, the difference is the AP is 100% online and the regular program is on campus. Also, the accelerated program can be completed in two years and has 5 and 10 wk courses.
  12. If you go to the uta academic partnership page and scroll to the bottom, you should be able to click on it. It starts feb 24
  13. I called and spoke to someone today bc I am currently in the AP MSN administration program and would like to transfer. The program will be intense! She said you will be taking two accelerated courses at a time...which is like whoa! One accelerated course is a lot for someone that is trying to work and do school, I cannot imagine two. Maybe if I didn't work it would be doable. Unfortunately, I'm reconsidering
  14. I found out that it starts in February and as of right now it is only available to residents of texas.
  15. Yes! I called again today and was able to finally get through! No one has called me back or responded!
