What's the toughest part of A&PI?

Published

I despise Chem, but that's only the 2nd chapter of the book so I doubt that's the most challenging section. What did you find to be the toughest part of A&PI?

Specializes in Emergency Nursing.

Having just finished the histology section, I can only say remembering the functions of various tissues and their anatomical locations.

Specializes in ER.

I thought that the nervous system was tough....that was the very last section we covered in AP I.

the hardest part was remebering all the muscles.. for some reason i couldn't get it to stick.

Specializes in Home Care.

If you hate chemistry wait til you get to the endocrine system :uhoh3:

You're going to have to learn to love chemistry, or at least like it.

I would have to say learning all of the bones, muscles, and the nervous system. The endocrine is a pain in the butt, too.

Yeah, it is all fun! : ) The first two weeks were review, so I had a pseudoconfidence. As soon as we hit tissue I got smacked in the face! Wow! I am actually going to have to study, and a lot! : )

metabolism is the only thing I remember where there was a lot of chemistry. Other than that, chemistry is just mixed in every system , but it is pretty simple.

But I took Anatomy and Physio separately.

Specializes in N/A.

Muscles...those darn cat muscles! For some reason I could not remember certain ones! Being tested on Endocrine, Blood, and Cardiovascular (heart only) on Tuesday. All I can say on those subjects? Keep up with it every day!

I had to memorize the holes the nerves came out of in the brain ... yeah I didn't do so well on that part ...

^ foramens lol

Not sure what the toughest part was, but learning about the heart was waaaaay more interesting than I expected it to be.
