    Criminal Conversion

She told me that it will only affect me partipating in clinicals if it shows up on the backgorund check, if it does, it will be sent to the clinical sites for them to review.... But I got my backgorund check back yesterday and it didn't show up.. so I'm clear to start clinicals. But i do have to put that on my form to take the NCLEX.

    how many accepted

Hey congrats! i got accepted as well, and start in the fall. I'm SOOO excited! I think i might take pathophysiology next summer ... but i would've had to take about 2-3 summer classes if i didn't have most of my pre-requs done. i've never taken summer classes before and i am a bit worried how they are going to fit a semesters worth of information into a couple of weeks. Good Luck everyone!!

    Criminal Conversion

When I was 15 was was caught stealing and got charged with criminal conversion. I'm 23 now and got accepted into the nursing program and I am to start clincals in the fall. Will this offense show up on my detailed background check? (I already informed the Director of Nursing about this). Has anyone heard of some getting to sit for the NCLEX and being able to find a decent job? Thanks in Advance!!

    nursing or pre-med.

I've studying to become a nurse and i am going to start clinicals next spring. But lately i have been wondering about going to med school. I'm 23 with 2 kids, i don't know if it's too late to switch to pre-med. Do any of you know someone who waited to begin a pre-med program? ... i feel so undecieded i just wanted to hear some different points of view before i make a decision. thanx.

Are private schools really easier to get into?

i'm going to transfer over to a private school from a public and they said 95% of the students there get federal aid and/or are on scholarships (academic or sports). It is pretty easy to get into, but it is a good program, i haven't heard one negative thing (besides the cost, $22,000 per year) from any of the nursing graduates. Also all but one credit doesn't transfer (micro), and one class that is not offered at the public school is all that i have left to take for general requirements. So private schools aren't all that bad, just do your homework before making a commitment.
