I'm just curious to know what other side jobs nurses out there are doing, whether you're doing nursing full time, part time, or per diem. It doesn't have to be nursing related either!
Nursing is my "side job" . I work full time on the boo boo bus as a medic covering 6 towns for 911. I love that job a lot, even though it pays a bit less than nursing. I LOVE going to work, even though I know that is kinda lame!
I work per-diem as an IV nurse and only do that once or twice a week depending on when they need me. I do love the people I work with and most of the patients, but just not as much as I love the ambulance. The IV team plays into my short attention span and is an ideal nursing job for me, so I don't mind going to work.
My other side job is school, but that is going to be ending in one week and I will have my B.S.N.! I may reverse to full time nursing at some point if I can get into a pediatric only ER, but those jobs are hard to come by!
