Okay, so 2018 is just around the corner. While we all hope for peace, good health and prosperity, what are some of the particulars of your hopes/goals for 2018?

For myself:

1. I just started a new job and hope to get it more organized.

2. I need to gain a new perspective on nursing as a whole so that I can approach it with a fresh mind/outlook.

3. Cont my weight loss journey.

4. Change my overall attitude towards stressors in my life and establish better-coping skills.

So...how about you??

1. Kick ass in my first and second semester of nursing school

2. Be kinder to myself

3. Do something that scares me

4. Be a better friend

5. Lose some weight

Plans for 2018

1. Get professionally up and work in our academic career

2. Doing good with the patients and the people around us without having a reason, or without waiting to turn us back

3. To live the life we see in our most beautiful dreams

4. To visit more beautiful places

5. Smile more often

6. Get healthy, drink more water and walk every day on the clean air

7. Knowing young people and creating beautiful experiences

8. Do we have at least one happy person every day, or just make a genius of genius

9. To love you more

10. Let us not allow our happiness to depend on circumstances or negative people

Wow! I'd like to do that, too.

To leave my current job which I HATE ( I have job interviews lined up already).

To finally decide if I'm going back to school and advance my nursing career or start a business degree (I'm leaning very much towards the business degree).

To work on my mental health. My current role is very stressful and I am not coping well at all. I don't eat, I can't sleep, I'm miserable. Part of that is my daily anxiety being kicked into overdrive and part of that is a crappy job.

To work with my family to make better healthier choices. We are cutting out pop (which is huge for me - diet coke is a weakness of mine), to make an effort to get to the gym, and to have fun with my kids and hubby.

1. Stay healthy/get healthier(weight loss, increase exercise, etc.)

2. Travel to the UK to visit the countries of my family of origin's origins

3. Welcome a new grand baby into the world in Morocco and spoil her and her brothers rotten before returning home (I'm glad my daughter isn't on this site!)

4. Discover the meaning of life (although, I hear it's "42" )

5. Successfully recert for my NP

These aren't in any particular order

I am no longer in survival mode. I am ready to take a step back, take a breath, and work on my nursing mastery with additional, focused studying and CEUs.

I am down 30 pounds thanks to regular exercise and cutting back on (but not eliminating!) simple carbs. I am going to keep it up by mixing it up. I need some new fitness activities and some new recipes besides chicken breasts and stir fry veggies.

PLUS: Time to get my financial house in order. Maybe take an online financial planning class. Get out from under my loans. Figure out how to put my money to work.

Finish my last year of school with a renewed positive attitude and a new focus.

Balance family, work and maybe even add a social life.

Quit tobacco. (But control the drinking, amphetamines, and glue-sniffing)

Not choke any of my instructors.
